Awaken serves excellent coffee (available as Chemex pourovers or french press, to boot), tasty and well-prepared. The cozy, wood-toned space has comfortable seats and an overall inviting atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you're nearby!

Great coffee (get the honey bear!) and a great place to work from. Plenty of outlets and a quiet atmosphere.

Super customer service, and delicious chocolate chip cookies ?

Very nice Coffee Shop in Old City Knoxville. The atmosphere is inviting, warm, artistic. Windows to Jackson are an attraction in themselves. Lovely place to visit. I notice the people are very quite in this shop (library quite). Large back room that is removed from front area may be good choice for anyone that likes less people in their space. Also, they display art of local Artists and photographers. A very good addition to Old City Knoxville.By:cmilton111Google Guide

Great space to work and enjoy an excellent cup of coffee!

Good stuff. I don't drink coffee but I got the hot chocolate and a chai latte while I was there, and they were pretty good. You can put any flavoring on the chalkboard into your drink, which allows great combos. Caramel hot chocolate ftw

So amazing and cozy! The waffles are amazing and the atmosphere is just beyond relaxing

Good coffee, good seating for sit down customers in the heart of Old City.

This cafe was pleasant. They were out of some things but accommodating to a request they'd never heard of. I ordered an upside down Caramel Macchiato and I got a funny look. I had to explain it. Nevertheless it was delicious and satisfying. Parking might be tricky and limited. They also sell local artwork and offer a study room upstairs. Overall I'd say it is place I'll visit again, if I'm downtown.
