Terrible! We thought since there were people of Asian decent it would be outstanding. We were told, “ real slow tonight..” We ordered basic shrimp fried rice and pork fried rice with an appetizer sliced pork with garlic sauce. One hour later the pork arrived! But no… wait for it… it was bacon. That’s right not sliced pork but bacon!Left. We will not be back.
I had given-up on finding a decent Chinese in Knoxville. But my wife was craving it and I was determined to find something we hadn't had before. I came across Asia Kitchen's Google Maps listing, saw the rating and volume of reviews and off we went!It wasn't the best Chinese I've ever eaten, but it's the best we've had in Knoxville. I got the House Special Fried Rice (comes w/chicken, beef and shrimp), my wife got General Tso Chicken and we got Chicken Fried Rice for our kids to share. The flavor was good, the portions were generous (enough to warrant to-go boxes) and we'll be back again. I will say that we were a bit surprised at the $73 bill, but not so surprised we won't return on occasion.
Best Chinese food we've ever eaten. Definitely will be making this our go to restaurant. Service was also amazing.
I visited this restaurant 04/11/2022 for dinner. The Good: I ordered the Twice-Cooked Pork and the Chicken and Broccoli. The TCP was great. Prepared Chinese style with pork belly, not American style. I have eaten this in China and this dish was close. The Chicken/Broc was also very tasty. Once it came. The Bad: Service was TERRIBLE. The waiter was surly and rude, from seating to taking orders to updating me on where the orders were, to paying the bill. He was the same with other customers. Aloof and snoby. He did seem to be the only one waiting on people while there were 5 other people in the dining room just standing around, so not sure if there was some issue going on with the staff. On getting the food, I got my soup within 5 mins of ordering (soup was just OK and fried noodles old/stale). The 2 main dishes took 50 (fifty) minutes to arrive after the soup, and that was after badgering the waiter and manager(?). I was not the only one having this issue and getting upset about it. The attitude of ALL the staff I interacted with was bad, as if all of this was OK and I should be grateful they allowed me to eat there. The Ugly: I'm moving to this area and am looking to connect with the Chinese community in the area. This was my first interaction and I hope the others in the community are not like this (the grocery store next door seemed to have similar attitude issues). I will not be back to this restaurant and hope other have a better experience if you go there.
So yummy! Got the garlic sauce added to the shredded chicken and green beans dish. The chicken lo mein was very comforting! Will definitely come back. Really nice servers.
Seriously good Asian food. I'd compare it to Asian food in Seattle or Portland without hesitation. Very surprised to discover this restaurant and will be here again.
Normally I'd give a restaurant with this yummy food 5 Stars instantly, however there is a big blaring reason I can't give 5.EVERY time I order delivery from this restaurant they end up taking literally two to three times longer to be finished and delivered than it says. Like 2 hours instead of 40 minutes. Also they can be pretty snippy and rude when you call to ask. They are very busy because their food is delicious, but they honestly lose customers because their timing and customer service are lousy :/ it sucks because their food is amazing.
The best authentic Chinese resteraunt in Knoxville. They have large round tables with a lazy Susan in the middle ideal for banquet style dinners. I went with 6 friends and we ordered 6 different dishes. the food was all amazing. I highly recommend the Twice-Cooked Pork and the Beef with Cumin! The wait time is a bit long, but it is well worth it. Plan to go with plenty of time.
This place was highly recommended by friends, but it took 40 mins to get our order and another hour went by and still no food. The restaurant was only half full. We left. We will never go back for sit down dining . I could have eaten at two different Asian restaurants on the same street in the time it took them not to serve me. What a waste of a Friday evening.
Asia Kitchen has the best Chinese food I’ve ever had…hands down! My family are I, are regulars and have been ordering from them for two years now. I have zero complaints about the food and staff. Everything is super delicious and everyone is nice. The only thing is that they’re super short staffed and sometimes the wait time is a while but it’s always worth the wait. I highly recommend this place to everyone!!
