The wife and I were on our way back to Dandridge from west Knoxville when we realized how hungry we were. The idea was to stop at Pueblos next door to Amigos and Beer when we realized it was closed. The wife had been there before the pandemic and enjoyed it. LUCKILY – we decided to try Amigos and Beer, and it was amazing. The service and food were so excellent that it is now on our return list when we are in Knoxville and when hungry! I kid you not, I have traveled all over the country and have tried numerous Mexican and Latin American restaurants, and this is one of the top two.
One of our favorites Mexican restaurants. Chips and salsa are delicious and served right away. We always order chunky guacamole, which is one of my favorites here. My husband’s favorite is chicken burrito with white cheese sauce on top, while I like shrimp quesadillas and pineapple fajitas. Staff are always polite, professional, courteous and service is prompt.
Solid Mexican food. Vegetarian fajitas are great and can easily be split with another to make space for lots of warm chips and salsa (and margaritas and beer, of course!)Value is excellent.
We love their menu! Food is fresh, delicious, and lots of different options from the normal Mexican restaurant menu. Service is always quick and friendly! Top shelf margarita is delcious and available for pickup with dinner!
The drive in was strange. I had to turn and turn. I was beginning to think that it didn't exist. But it's hidden away behind another building. When I came in here was a couple ordering takeout but I did not have to wait long to be seated. A woman brought me tacos and salsa while I waited for my sweet tea. The sweet tea was delicious. The salsa was good and the tortillas were warm. As usual I put some sugar to cut the acid but it did not lower the heat.. I ordered a Chicken Fajita. The chicken was cooked but a bit bland. The rice was ok. The guacamole and lettuce was fresh. The pico de gaillo was good. The waiter was nice but not smiling a lot. The servers gave me the impression that to them this was just a job. Wow! They just put on cool music. But it was quiet when I arrived. Now to find a way out of here.
Me and my husband go here regularly! We love the atmosphere! The employees are extremely nice and their food is absolutely delicious every time!
Hubby is a truck driver and we ended our night in Knoxville and found this gem. I’m just getting over my sinus infection and was craving anything with flavor. I ordered a Patron Margarita and the Burrito Patron and hubby got a Modelo and Carne Asada Tacos. Jose took care of us; both the food and service were beyond stellar. We will definitely be back the next time we come through here. If you’re around and haven’t yet, it’s a must to come check this place out ?
Good variety of menu items, everything was tasty, quantity a bit on the skimpy side. Staff were not wearing masks.
This is amazing Mexican food. Usually the sauces (red, green, white) are benign and rather flavorless, all of the sauces here I tried were exceptional. I'm so glad I diverted to this place and will for sure come back anytime I'm within 100 miles of here.

Indoor and outdoor seating.Some of the BEST Mexican food I've ever had. Food and drink prices were exceptional as well.Definitely stop in! This place is AMAZING!!
