Visited while in town for family. Quaint cafe with delicious down home cooking. Generous portions, kind staff and hot coffee that just kept coming. Exactly what we hoped for.
In one word, underwhelming.There is no sign in the front that says to seat yourself. Therefore, myself and 3 other groups were standing up front like idiots and the workers couldn't even come to you and tell you what's going on and to seat yourself.The menu selection is terrible and I will not be a return customer. This restaurant is just not for me or my husband. The chairs and booths are uncomfortable making for a terrible place for sit down.
Honestly, the servers and the food are pretty good...but the 2 older women up front running the counter almost make it not even worth it. Just incredibly rude when I came in to get my order.I've went back and read a lot of the reviews and the responses to them. I've noticed that the doordash responses are met with a lot of hostility. And all actuality, doordash does not work for you. We do not work for you as well as we do not work for doordash. When our orders are not out in a timely fashion, it costs us time and money. It doesn't cost you anything, if anything you are making more money by having a second base of clientele through doordash. We deserve a little bit more respect than you give us when we come into your restaurant. The same respect I show them every single time I come in regardless of the bad attitude. You may not be a fast food restaurant, but there are other restaurants (big restaurants) that are more than capable of getting the orders out in a reasonable way and without being hateful. If your business is not capable of doing this and being polite to your clientele whether they are dining in, ordering out, or if it is doordash picking up for one of your customers....you seriously need to consider uncoupling yourself from DoorDash entirely, because I guarantee it will be the end of your business otherwise. If you've had as many issues with dashers as dashers have had with you guys, that just kinda confirms it. The fact that you are trying to make more excuses than you are trying to fix the actual problem is a huge red flag in itself.

Second time eating here with my boys, breakfast both times. Wait staff is very friendly, but seemed kind of frazzled. I assumed they have the same issue most restaurants are having, so no problems there. On the first visit the place was packed out, but we still didn't wait long to place our order or to receive our order. The bisquits were heavenly, so not sure why the gravy tasted canned. Not a bad canned, but definitely not anything to write home about. The home fries are really good too.The second visit we all tried something different. Food was really good again (we skipped the gravy), but it took quite a while for our food to arrive, and it wasn't as busy as our first visit.All in all: nice, friendly local restaurant with good food and decent prices considering what stuff costs nowadays. Would definitely go back again, but they really need to rethink the gravy they put on those scrumptious bisquits.
Great food and service!! We had omelettes and my boyfriend had potatoes with country gravy. Also the rye toast was delicious.
Excellent food. Good service and a down home atmosphere! Definitely would come here again when in the area.
My husband and I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast and were very pleased with the food quality and the staff. We will return.
Good food, good service. Gave em 5 stars because they always try and make sure your food is right. Hell I've seen em even make Door dash people get the bag from the cars. That's service, Never ordered from them though just go in after graveyard..
Door dashers absolutely do not work for your company or any other company. We are independent contractors who get paid by DOOR DASH AND CUSTOMERS. It is NOT a door dash policy or requirement to use the hot bag. Even though just because we don't show it, because we're not required to, doesn't mean it isn't being used. So, if food comes cold it's on your restaurant. You do not have to be RUDE and NASTY because YOU wouldn't have the option to deliver food without door dash. This is why me and many other dashers don't take orders for this place. Best to just not order from them and get it from a place that cares about you and your driver. ?
