Oh my goodness my chicken salad croissant was so good. The brocolli cheese soup was absolutely delicious. My husband got the chili and it was the best either of us has ever had. Did not need crackers at all. My iced tea was so refreshing and wonderful. It appears that they use a small muffin like a garnish on all the plates. Eat the muffin it is amazingly yummy. The decor was so fun. Love this place we will definately be back and will bring friends with us. So so very good
My husband and I were excited to try the Mustard Seed Cafe. The restaurant is quaint, great atmosphere and our waitress was friendly. But the food was awful and overpriced. I got the Cuban and it was anything but. It was on bread instead of a hard roll, American cheese instead of Swiss and they put mayo on it. Plus the filling was skimpy and it was not put in the panini press.. My husband's sandwich was no better. Very small for the price and skimpy toppings. For $20, we could have eaten better at McDonald's. I took one bite of the Cuban and complained but the manager didn't care and would not take it off our bill. Will not be back and neither will family and friends.
Cute, friendly cafe with delicious food!We walked in and the place was packed, and we knew we came to the right place for lunch while visiting Kingsport. We waited a few minutes to be seated and got one of the last open tables available. By the time we sat down there was a line out the door and after eating here I know why!! All the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, it was hard to decide what to order. I decided to try Connies sandwich which has a green apple slice on it. The apple gave it a little sweet and tart taste which complimented the other ingredients. Broccoli Cheddar soup was yummy and so was the spinach tomato quiche.
A nice downtown Kingsport eatery experience. There were 5 of us picky eaters and complaints were few which is an accomplishment! We had salads, soups and sandwiches all,delicious! Would highly recommend!
A Cuban sandwich does NOT have mayonnaise on it. I have had at least two places in Kingsport try this. The only sauce condiment should be mustard. And if you must put mayo on it, at least keep it to a minimum. The only thing I could taste on this sandwich was mayo.
My husband and I visited this restaurant in February 2022 and we loved it! It's quaint, decorated adorably, has fabulous food and a great staff. PLUS, the prices are reasonable. What more could you want in a place to eat?!? Definitely put this on your places to visit.
The Mustard Seed is fantastic!! The coffee selection is incredible and the food is superb!! It was our first visit and we love it! It will definitely be a regular hangout for us! The staff were all super fun and helpful as well! Most definitely five star!!!

Delicious food, nice staff, good ambience, fast service, affordable. Really wonderful. I will be returning for seconds!!
