It was ok didn't like the coconut shrimp to sweet..
I ordered a 12 piece dinner , ask for it to be made fresh. I'll let them know I didn't mind waiting one bit but the fish , chicken & hush puppies had been deep fried for the second time. You can tell by how it tastes & how well done & extra crispy it is.
Went through drive thru. Ordered 2 number 12s which come with 2 pieces of fish, 3 pieces of chicken, and 2 sides. We said fries and Cole slaw for the sides for each platter. $26.04 was the total Got home and there was no Cole slaw and only one of the orders had fries. Plus we gave the cashier $31.04. And we had to remind him that he owed us $5. He had already shut the drawer.I tried to call back to let them know that we did not receive want we ordered and paid to have. No one would answer the phone. And I made several calls.
Awesome staff! Super friendly! The food was fresh and hot even when I got home and not to mention glorious tasting!!! It's been so long since I've gotten to eat here and it did not disappoint at all!!!! Superior service!!!
Meal was not rite. 3rd person in line waited 25 mins. Worst ljs ever!
Oh what a time! My wife had a pregnancy craving so we ordered online. Got to store and went to the drive thru and they told us the online order had been canceled. We didn't cancel. They said there was nothing they could do to fix it, yet our money had been taken. I proceeded to park and walk inside the store to try and figure this out why they couldn't refund us or give us food. I waited at the counter and someone came out from the back and said "everything is made to order so it will be a minute." I told them that we need to solve this situation and asked for a customer service number. They seemed reluctant to give it to me or even help me. That was until I told them my wife was pregnant then they did a 180 and called their manager.After about 30 minutes they told me that their manager had said our card didn't have enough money that's why they couldn't help us. Then with some wizard Magic the manager was able to refund us and we had to reorder.First off we have overdraft protection so if we didn't have enough it wouldn't have gone through in the first place.Second I dont understand why they were able to refund us so quickly after I mentioned my wife being pregnant that shouldn't have mattered.And on top of it all after eating it I was really sick that night and the next day.
Sadly, this is the only Long John Silver's that we have left, here in Kingsport. We used to go there quite a bit, and it was SO good! However, we don't go there much anymore...because the food doesn't taste like it used to. Like the chicken, it is ALWAYS overcooked and tastes very greasy. (I don't know if they are not using fresh oil, or what it is exactly. But then on top of that, they overcook it and so the chicken is rubbery and nasty) The sides...french fries are always cold and soggy (unless you ask for them to make your food fresh...but then they really act agitated) and the hush puppies are SO hard and crunchy. I don't know if someone there at the location is responsible for changing bulbs, or what is going on with the outside/drive thru lighting. But if you go there at night and especially to the drive thru...you can't see the menu or anything! It's sad, bc we used to love going there...but it's just not the same anymore. And LJS food is really good, when it's done right. Also, there don't ever seem to be no more than two employees working at once and they are not smiley or friendly. I have honestly thought about trying to contact corporate/the owner and expressing these issues. Bc they could get SO much more business, if they were aware (if they aren't already) of this.
Ordered 3 piece chicken again this time again paying extra for another piece and after getting home found the extra piece missing. It being the only one in town and I live so far away I did t go back. Does no good to call and complain either.
Does no good to ask for ketchup. They always give tarter sauce instead.
I have always loved the chicken and shrimp, and the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the extremely long wait in the drive-thru line. The staff is friendly and food is wonderful but the wait not so much.
