Man, you just can't go wrong for a good, hot, and tasty lunch or dinner at any La Carreta location in the Tri-Cities. I have never been let down in any way whatsoever in any La Carreta locally. Always super friendly staff, cold beer, (22 oz. XX with a #13 dinner, or one of the outstanding Shrimp entrees), sip per bite finished off right with the last tip of the mug to rinse the last bite of savory south of the border superbness!
Food was delicious but service was subpar. Our waitress was rude and initially brought out the wrong to-go order I had placed. Thankfully, our party was still sitting there chatting when she realized she’d given me the wrong order. Also, my vegetarian fajita was burnt. I like charred veggies and meats so this wasn’t a problem for me but it might be for you. I’ve had better luck with servers and food quality at other la carettas in the area.
Food is really good; service is sometimes slow but staff is nice and food comes out quick.
The location in Colonial Heights is apparently the place to be with the younger generation! I was there for a couple hours, and all's I saw coming and going were teens, and younger adults to sit and eat. Everyone else older than 35 looking was picking up togo orders! Cracked me up!! ? I kind of felt like I was supposed to be there. ??♀️
The food was ok, just not hot enough, it was like it came out if a cooler in spots. server was great
I went here because I didn't want to be driving too far from home on New Years Eve. I have to say the wait staff was very very nice ... but the food was just okay. I never did like La Caretta even back in the day, it's always just been 'okay'. Their menu was really nice though & they were very accommodating for my 16 mo old son, which is always very nice to be welcomed even when you have a toddler. He actually seemed to LOVE what he got lol, which was a chicken soft taco. My friend and I shared the fajitas Tejanas and the steak and chicken were fine but the shrimp was way overdone, like rubber.Overall even though the food was just okay, like I said the wait staff was nice and my son had fun so I am giving them 3 stars.. right down the middle.
not a bad place to go. the service was great, the food was great. I really like going here.
This was the worst service I think I have ever had! Waited ten minutes for someone to get our drinks, then when the food came out I did get mine. So when the waiter checked back ten minutes later he said did you not order anything. I was like yes you took my order, he was like well I don't know what happened let me check. Apparently it was the printers fault for not printing out my order, funnily enough my husband got his. When I did get my food I only received half my order and it wasn't worth eating. I love Mexican food, my husband is Mexican and even he couldn't eat it. I never leave bad reviews ever but this really made me mad. Fifty bucks down the drain, I will never eat here again!
Always good! Great place to get tex-mex in the tri-citiea
Great food, HUGE menu & very affordable prices. Service was excellent also.
