We were told that the burgers are really good, so that was what we had; classic cheese burgers. This was one of the very few times the burgers were cooked to order (for me, medium rare). They were excellent! I thought the value was also great. The decor on the walls was movie/video game themes from the late 70's-80's....AWESOME.Our expierence was awesome. Service was phenomenal, food was great. This is proof that the best expierence is from the local shops. Highly recommend this place when in near town.
I was extremely impressed when we called ahead to inquire about seating for our family of six that they were willing to reserve a table for us. Our waitress was very sociable and made our experience pleasant. Since she was so friendly, I was surprised that she didn't inform us that she was turning our table over to another person during our meal. The food was delicious and I would like to go back when I'm in the area again.
Consistently the best burgers in town. Twice cooked shoestring fries, or perhaps fresh cooked house-made chips? Yup, those rock too! You just can't beat Mid City Grill for the go-to cravings you NEED to satisfy.
It's a simple diner with eighties and nineties memorabilia. Our server was helpful and cheerful. The food was delicious and came quickly. The family friendly casual atmosphere was just what we were looking for on a hot afternoon.
This is a gem of a restaurant in downtown Johnson City. The decor is really cool, especially if you're into retro movies and games. The food itself is fantastic, as a vegan I am in love with their full vegan menu offerings, including multiple burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers. They also have some amazing and creative specials every week. The service is always great, can be a bit backed up when they're busy but every server I've had has been great. A fun and delicious spot for food.
Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. Definitely the best one in the area. Good portions, good prices, quick service. Sides aren't the best but definitely not the worst. Will be eating here again.
My husband and I went for the first time a few weeks ago at like 930 pm. Everything was AMAZING. Service, atmosphere, food, prices, everything. So we went back tonight for our anniversary. It took 15 minutes after the waitress took our drink orders for her to come back with them. Then she asked if we needed a few minutes to look at the menu that she gave us when she asked for our drink orders. We said no and went ahead and ordered. Our food came pretty quickly. But, even tho she passed our table several times during our meal, she never once asked how we were doing or offered to refill our drinks that were obviously empty about halfway thru our meal.When she finally did stop, it was obvious that 2 of the 3 of us were finished, and she only stopped to bring the check. She laid it on the table and asked if we wanted boxes or to go drinks, basically rushing us to leave. She never asked how our food was, if we wanted dessert, or anything, even when we checked out. They weren't even really that busy (4 other tables occupied with 2-3 people each table) and there was at least 1 maybe 2 other waitresses on duty.So, had I left a review the first time we went, they would have gotten 5 stars. But after tonight, it's 3 ONLY because the food was amazing. Unfortunately, due to the service, we probably won't go back.
First time in Johnsonville, group of 13 looking for a place for dinner. I'm not big on burgers, but I don't regret it. Food was great and service same. Prices are decent and serving portions big. French fries are thin and cut and fried upon order. Sweet potatoes and onion rings are also delicious. Excellent choice.
Easy to see why they were voted best burger in the Johnson City area for 4 years , Mid City Grill has the absolute best burgers and fresh cut fries I have ever had !!! Very highly recommend
First time here & definitely coming back . Literally the only restaurant we found open on Christmas Eve as we were walking through Market Square & enjoying the Candy Land Christmas tree displays!
