My office tried to schedule a retirement luncheon at Logan’s in their private dining room. Our office had used the private dining room previously for other office occasions . We were informed we needed to call Logan’s corporate office to schedule the room. Corporate needed a credit card and a head count. If all 20+ did not show the credit card would be charged for the lunches of the missing office staff. Sorry Logan’s we took our business to a more accommodating restaurant. You missed out on 20+ lunches!
Our family was celebrating a graduation and my son wanted to come here. Our party of 7 was seated promptly, but that is where the good service stopped. We waited for someone to take our drink order for some time. When one asked for assistance, three waiters debated on whose table we were and then walked away. I wrongly assumed that someone would be coming soon. After a few minutes, I flagged someone down and asked for manager. After a few minutes, he arrived and apologized. Shortly thereafter we had someone to take our drink orders and food orders at the same time. Salads came out three minutes before the main course. Two in our party did not get a main course with the rest of us. One of the orders that did not get brought out timely was simply an order of fries for one of our youngsters. The fries actually came out last. Most of us were almost done when the last main course came out and the fries followed a few minutes later. The manager gave us a small discount on our 150+ dollar order for what clearly was poor service. I don't blame the waitress as that is what management is for..to make sure things run smoothly and when the don't, ensure things are corrected. In essence, this was a management issue that should have been addressed when we brought it to his attention. Instead, he allowed continued poor service and felt that a very small discount was the solution.
Yuck, just yuck. Soggy salad with too much dressing. Frozen steaks…are those things boiled? I sent my steak back…it was so disgusting. Apparently, that gets reported to the fat, hateful manager who then comes and stands over you while you try a bite of the newly prepared steak. I just said it was better because he was super intimidating, purposefully…I won’t be back.
I travel through out the southeast and I stop at the nearest logans at least once a week. the Logan's in Johnson city is the worst one I've been too! From the outside it your typical Logan's but once inside things are different. The menu somewhat resembles Logan's but it much different. My salad was cheap, small and served in a soup bowl! The pork chops were boneless extruded pork. To me this was a imitation Logan's and I would not recommend it.
Went into this location last Saturday night and was told it would be a 20 minute wait due to 3 people walking out. We said that would be fine. So we waited. When they came to get us, they took us to a table and we asked if we could sit at the booth that was beside the table instead and the girl huffed and said I’ll have to ask. So we followed her back up to the front where we were told if we wanted a booth we would need to wait an additional 20 minutes. The store was half empty and I do realize that they were short handed. However what was most upsetting was, my husband was like no that’s fine. We will go somewhere else. Both blonde girls thought it was funny and was laughing because we left. Neither of them were doing anything the whole time we had waited for a table. I realize they may have only been “hostess” but you don’t have to be real smart to clear off a table or sweep a floor. Neither of those girls should be employed. They are definitely not team players. If they are being rude to customers, they are being rude to co workers. No wonder you had employees walk out. I’m surprised with this type of attitude that the doors are still open on this business.
First time here was definitely not a good one. The waitress was wonderful, but the food was bland. Our spinach artichoke dip was still frozen when it came out and I ordered a filet mignon. The filet had at least 2oz of fat. We are talking a $24 steak, and a filet which should have little to no fat at all. Talked to the manager who did the right thing, but not a nice person. I would consider a different restaurant before going to this one.
Food was awesome, hadn't been there in forever. Our waitress was extra kind, great job took care of our needs
Our waitress took very good care of us. She was quick and attentive. My salmon was perfect!
The worst experience ever in Johnson City!! My sirloin was so tough I had to practically saw it into bite size pieces. I ordered medium rare. I asked for a loaded sweet potato and got marshmallow only. I was supposed to get another side that never made it to the table. My husband’s salmon was good but he had to ask for his side item twice. The spinach dip was tasteless and runny. This was our second attempt at this restaurant but will be our last. I didn’t eat all my food and didn’t bother to take it home. I felt sick as I walked out of the building.
Worked at Logan's for 5 years, 20 years ago. They still have the best ribs in town and all hand cut meat 20oz porterhouse--6oz sirloin. I really miss my teriyaki steak but the chicken was great after 72 hr. Marination while the pineapple break down the protein of the meat. Tender enough for a fork
