I am not sure what was going on with this restaurant recently but the food was straight up trash. We went for brunch and we were better off going to a fast food restaurant for the poor quality and service we were given. My mimosa was basically below half glass filled, the chicken was dry and the biscuits and eggs were just basic. The plating was messy and our waitress came by got our order and that was it. We complained about the food and they didn't even try to fix it or anything, simply ridiculous!
Ok so I wasn’t very impressed. I was very excited to to get in here on Mother’s Day but there was nothing extraordinary about this place. The parking is what it is we had to park at Southern Craft which was fine not too bad. We only had to wait about 39 minutes to get seated which was good. We had to wait about 45 minutes though on our food which was bad but I just knew I was in for a treat so I was still good. The food came … I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was good it was.. but it came with a fried green tomato which I love but this one was like someone that hates them or has never ate them made it! Absolutely no flavor it was the poorest excuse for one I’ve ever tasted. My daughter got the chicken and waffles it was terrible just don’t get it.. if you want chicken and waffles get on 26 and go straight to Asheville… to Rockys Hot Chicken and you won’t regret the drive. I would actually pay to stay the night in Asheville just to eat there. Good day.
This place looks good but the food really ain't that good. We ordered the lamb Lollipops - these were the best by far, 40 day ribeye - had zero seasoning, brussel sprouts - these were great, carrots - under cooked, shrimp and grits - nothing to brag about and we had the cinnamon roll for dessert- it was as hard as a rock from the microwave. It does have a nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly but food is over priced and not impressive.
The steak and mahi-mahi fish tacos were good (one taco was fishy tasting, the other was fine; the steak was aged for 40 days but hubby felt it could have been a better cut of meat for the price) the strawberry spinach salad with goat cheese and strawberry vinaigrette was perfectly fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed excellent service from Spencer, our waiter, who was friendly and efficient. He went to lengths to find answers to our questions and that we were taken care of. Seating at the booth was comfortable and enjoyed the lighting (not too bright), decorations, and general atmosphere
Absolutely outstanding. Great service. Exciting atmosphere. The food is freaking good!
I read the reviews and also had a recommendation to try this place. The side salad was the only good part of this experience. The ahi was terrible, the server was absent and interested in taking care of his tables. If your looking for a college joint this is the place for you. If you want a quality meal with good service I would recommend looking elsewhere!
Loved the place, really good service for our party of 14. Everybody was satisfied with their food. Our waitress kept up with drink refills, appetizers, and the main orders.
I absolutely love eating at the Label, along with its other sister restaurants, but I've never had a bad experience until today. After convincing my mother (which drove 3 hours to visit) that this was the best little lunch place in town, I felt like a fool when the food we ordered was inedible and the 2 cocktails were beyond horrific. Sushi is 1/2 price on Wednesdays and maybe everyone was having a bad day, but today I couldn't stomach anymore than 1 bite. We were very disappointed to say the least.
I was told this was a “nice” place to go eat. I do not understand that description at all. Parking is terrible and the surrounding area is kind of run down looking. Some older woman jumped out of her car to yell at us as we were trying to park. Her husband wanted to fight us ! ( Bama sticker on from of his car ). The interior of the restaurant is very reminiscent of Texas Roadhouse. The server was very sweet and friendly. The worst part was I had a long, black hair in my sushi. They win awards for their sushi ??? It wasn’t just on top of the roll, nope. I discovered it, in my mouth, as I UNROLLED IT from the inside of my mouth ! It is the single worst food experience I have ever had. I understand hair can get on food, but this was ROLLED UP in it. The server offered another roll ( ?) and a free dessert. I don’t think I want anymore of their hairy food. Overall, it was a pretty terrible experience. The vibe of the place is rough and country, like a bar fight will break out any moment. Needless to say, we won’t be back. I just do not understand how anyone can recommend that this is a “ nice” place to eat. It’s just a country sports bar. That’s fine if that’s your style, but please don’t recommend as a “ nice” restaurant.
Seated right away, friendly & attentive service! I ordered the 16oz prime ribeye. While it was less than 12oz (had a scale with me for food logging purposes). It was cooked and seasoned perfectly, best steak I’ve had in a long time. My husband ordered the brisket burger and said it was delicious. Got the Dulce de leche cheesecake to split but should’ve ordered 2 it was phenomenal!! Will definitely come back when in the area.
