I am from up North so my standard of pizza is pretty high. When I picked up the pizza I asked the cashier if the pizza was good. He said it was pretty good lol. Definitely a big no no to say that about the place you're working at. To be honest the pizza was fair, could barely taste any sauce and it was kind of bland. The crust was really good though.
I'm going to start off by saying the food is definitely five star rating. The service is always outstanding and never got bad service. The reason for not giving a five-star review is the decor and the atmosphere is a little off for an Italian restaurant. When I went in there was '80s music playing and there was a bunch of advertisements on a TV that just kept repeating itself. I found it very thought of having a TV that's just playing advertisements off putting.
Food was very bland with no flavor. Ordered an appetizer and it took along time to get. Supposed to get a salad before our meal and ended up not getting it until after the meal. Overpriced for cheap non flavorful food.
Our food was excellent and service was good! But, after eating, we was sitting there talking and we had an unexpected visitor, coming down the wall! Then hung out there (Yes a cockroach) I know that all restaurants deal with this! But, for it to be out in the middle of the day with a packed restaurant tells me that it’s not just a small problem! After telling our waitress, she apologize, but it seamed like it was already a none issue. Unfortunately, we payed $38.83 for 3 subs and drinks. Then left feeling like we all was about to throw up! No accommodations was made which is totally fine. But, unfortunately it will be hard for me to ever go back to eat!
Came in for lunch on Friday and never got our food. We placed our order with the waitress and waited 45 minutes. Finally they came to check on us and told us that they didn't have an order for us. So the waitress told us either it wasn't put in with the kitchen or the kitchen lost it. She apologized and gave us a bill for the cheese bread appetizer that we actually did get but give me a break. Either way we will not be going back. I've given them plenty of chances and realize the issues with staffing and the pandemic but this was the last straw.
Best garlic cheese knots I have ever eaten. A must try. Salads are good. All entrees are wonderful. My favorite is lasagna. Thick and the sauce is perfect.
Just ordered a veggie sub, the cook does not know what comes on them, he put spanish and broccoli on it. Menu does not call for that. It was a terrible sub. I used to like this place not no more, disappointed the last 3 or 4 times we've ordered from Giovanni's. Never again. I will go to Hardee across the street.?
Omg. Food was amazing. Staff is awesome. Best stromboli I have had since I've lived in Johnson City. Price was reasonable. Loved it. Will definitely be back
Great service from the waitress. Fiid was good and tasty. I will try the pizza one day soon.
Enjoyed their pasta platter and friendly service. Food is regular fare with indoor dining for couples or small groups - more like a family pizza place. They do not serve alcoholic beverages but are cool with BYOB.
