Went with a group of 40 people as part of a club. The meal was $53 each, which included a house salad and entree and water (extra if you wanted something besides water). The food was good, but it was not a $53 meal, not even close. Serving size just way too small. The staff was good, but not many happy customers at my table. 20% mandatory gratuity and a service fee on top of that. It could have been handled so much better.

There with a large group. Price- fixed menu at $53. Expecting something very special. Only average food. Beef bourginion had just three tiny cubes of meat each on the 4 servings in our group. Salad average and only thing included besides entree - no beverage, bread or dessert. Only average service for which they added 20% tip. Insult to injury- $4.43 service charge for using a credit card ( no warning as we didn’t see regular menus). Total cost including tax $157. For a salad, an entree and 1 glass of wine. Shameful.

A nice little place with wonderful food. I had Tilapia and my wife had Sea Bass. Both were excellent. It is small and reservations are a good idea, even on a weeknight. The one negative is the food is a bit expensive.

My guest and I had brunch there Saturday 4/23/22 a bit after one pm. Always had a good experience and was looking forward to it. Walked in and they only had one or 2 tables filled. There help just walked out of the kitchen, did not greet us at all and walked back in. I felt that they were hoping we would leave. We each had two very so so bloody marys and the turkey panini sandwich was a total disappointment. The potatoes were the best part of the experience. The waitresses seemed more like a girl click than working a job and you could hear horseplay coming from the kitchen. Not feeling it anymore sorry to say. ?

French toast is phenomenal and my wife loves the quiche. Awesome service at the bar with Taylor... Favorite brunch spot. This made for a lovely start to our Easter weekend. Thanks Cafe Lola! We will see you again.

Cafe Lola is awesome. The filet Oscar is fantastic. Alex is the best bartender in town. If you want a good meal and drink in Johnson City come to Cafe Lola.

By what we overhead Sunday morning, Lola's must be very popular. We entered when no staff was in view and took a seat. Upon request, we were given a menu. As we waited to order and for our food, everyone else was asked if they had a reservation, or told of an hour wait ... yet the place was almost empty. Our breakfast/brunch was bland and tepid, service was much, but those folk who were arriving seemed to be ordering alcohol. I guess that is a good part of the menu.

Viewing the recently introduced Lola's weekend menu, we thought we'd give them a try. What a mistake. My wife ordered the Choriza and Avocado Benedict. The muffin was rock hard, the chorizo was overcooked, and the poached egg was cold. I ordered the 4 Cheese Quiche and, while plenty of cheese, the quiche had split and was very grainy. The side of fruit was an after thought! Sad, still looking for a decent brunch in Johnson City!!

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with smiles and an enormous interest in what we wanted to eat and drink that evening. Our gracious server Brandon and awesome chef Michele were wonderful. Food? Really delicious!!!!!! We will return to Tennessee next month and enjoy another dinner with friends again.

Quaint small restaurant with an excellent menu, including desert. Where else can you get a chocolate souffle? Pretty much need reservations during peak hours. Often booked up.
