They have the best orsters that I have ever had.
Wonderful experience. Hands down best seafood in the area. Very fresh. The alligator was tender, I’ve had very chewy from other establishments. The fried oysters were PERFECT. We were served Very large platters full of crab ,shrimp ,and crab claws.Our waitress Abby was pleasant and very attentive.This is our new favorite spot for seafood!
I’m from Louisiana so it is rare for me to find a Cajun restaurant that is good outside of LA. This was our first visit. It was mid Saturday afternoon and we sat at the bar. The restaurant was not busy. We had raw oysters—oysters were fresh with a nice flavor, a shrimp PoBoy—shrimp was lightly breaded, not oily, and the bread perfect, and a taste of their gumbo—nice, dark brown roux with right amount of spice (wish it had okra, but flavorful). I thought the pricing was reasonable given it was seafood. Menu aside, I was very impressed with the amount of fresh seafood available for sale and brought in twice a week. Their “seafood market” greets you at the door when you walk in. We will definitely be back for that! The grill is calling and so is my own gumbo recipe. It’s nice to have a location to pick up fresh seafood. We will return to try other items off the menu too. All in all, our total experience was very good! We may have found another little spot to stop in for a beer and eats.
Some of the best service we have ever had. The owner came out and personally talked to us and checked on us to make sure our food was as desired. A WHOLE LOTTA FOOD!!!! I was thrilled with the price for the amount of food we got. We ordered extra crab legs because it's usually not enough...well we had extra between 3 grown men and we was stuffed. Just an all around awesome experience while we was in for the bristol drag races. Can't wait until the fall race to go back again!
The food was great!! Today was packed, we unfortunately did not have a waitress. But the chef waited on us, took orders, brought drinks and food! He was a stand up man and a joy!!! I would definitely recommend

My husband and I have had multiple dinner outings at Bayou Boys restaurant in Johnson City Tennessee. And I must say it was excellent food, superb service, at each visit. Not one disappointment. I’m not knowledgeable in Cajun food past shrimp and grits. They actually let me sample something new that was delicious and allowed me to try something different. My husband orders something different every time we go. The owners goes above and beyond to provide a great dining experience and to allow locals to enjoy real Cajun food. Go check them out.
Get anything here except catfish poboy, all bread with very small portion of fish, I couldn't believe it!
Very disappointed in a good friend's recommendation. It took over an hour after being seated to receive our food. We didn't order anything complicated. I ordered a shrimp cocktail expecting fresh shrimp...it had been overcooked and tasted like rubber. I expected one thing and received another. We had to get to an event and were made late by the service. The server was okay. The poor girl was doing the best she could but they gave her too many tables to wait. No, I can not in good conscience recommend this restaurant.
First time visiting Bayou Boys and most likely the last. There was no bean to my red beans and rice. My daughter ordered shrimp Alfredo. The sauce was great and the shrimp were good. The noodles were undercooked. We paid $120 for a meal that we mostly left on the table. When we asked the waitress about the food she said "that's the way it's supposed to be" and the issues we mentioned "it's all the same."Edited to reply to the owner.Thank you for your response. I guess I expected better service and better food. I own a resturant myself and understand prices have nearly tripled this year alone, but the price for the amount of food we received was outrageous. Don't get me wrong, I don't care to pay for quality, it just wasn't there yesterday. I don't even care to wait for quality. I also know good help I'd hard to find. Again, thank you for your response.
