I called at 10:00 someone answered with a Hello like I was bothering them, didn't even state the name of the business and when I said I would like to place a order... The response I got was We're not taking orders right now... So I say not taking orders, so are you saying your closed? She's like yeah we're closing and hangs up on me! The website says 24 hrs. But okay, Whatever ??
I decided to give this Waffle House a try since it was on our route. We sat at a table for somewhere around 10 minutes and we’re never even acknowledged. There were only 2 other tables and the cook was cooking and serving one of them. The waitress walked by us at least 4-5 times and never even looked at us much less take a drink or food order (I would have even settled for a “I’ll be right with you”). She completely ignored us. I heard the mom with 2 kids in the next table ask for plastic utensils for her young daughter, but the waitress never brought them leaving the little girl with nothing to eat with. I feel very sorry for the cook that he has to wait tables (on top of cooking) and doesn’t even get tips. The food may be good (I don’t know we left), but you will never even get to see because the service is horrific. I won’t be back again. We decided to drive 20 minutes down the road to the South Highland Waffle House and it was worth it - such a better experience.

Hot, Fresh, Food.Cleaning is Priority with that rapid service turnaround as many people move in and out of the space in such short time periods. Cyclones often create those tunneling effects of spiral ? wind gusts! Adequate Staffing to high volume service demand changes “A Game”…The most important thing in food service is cleanliness as the food is prepared, stored, and consumed in my opinion. Would give 0 stars if possible. Crew on duty March 5-6th should be fired immediately including the make shift security guard. They turned people away saying they were closed every though the store was still clearly open. Will never visit this Waffle House again and will encourage others not to as well
Nicely surprised by cleanliness of the Waffle House on Highland. Very good food. Teresa was a great waitress too.
I like the Wi-Fi cuz you get your food cooked to order and it's always fresh.
Food was hot, bacon was crisp and everything was delicious. It wasn't for me but for my girlfriend. I know it was good because she didn't leave a crumb on the plate ?. It's still sectioned off for covid restrictions and I patronize business that take the mandate serious. Staff was friendly and prompt as well!
We usually love Waffle House, but not this location in Jackson, TN. Granted, it was Christmas Day, but if you can't at least fake a good attitude, you should stay home. The people behind the counter were rude to people who were waiting to be seated (while half of the seating was blocked off and not available for use). We waited about 40 minutes and were still not seated. To the service staff - at least treat people nicely - you are in the hospitality and service industry.
Morning after Christmas, showed up at 1am, the team rocked as they had a parking lot full of cars. Best after Christmas Waffle House breakfast!
DeAundra was great with our 6 year-old who had been on the road with us for awhile and needed attention! Excellent food, too! 10/10!
