The place is what it is. For the geographic location, I think it is above average. The sushi seemed good. Very tasty. Presented nicely. Some innovative rolls. Overall it was a good experience. Not crowded at all on a Saturday night. We kept our expectations in check and were not disappointed. Came away full, satisfied, and certainly will go back if we're in the area next.
I was a bit overwhelmed with all the menu choices but the waiter was able to help me quickly decide on a roll that fit my tastes and it was delicious. I highly recommend. A bit of a heads up, the rolls are large if you eat recommended serving sizes you will probably want to split it.
I've eaten Sakura's great take-out for years. The food has always been reliably good and visually pleasing. I recently ate inside the restaurant again. The service and the food were good. The restaurant had a little bit of a funky smell, but it was minimal. ALLERGY WARNING: I would not eat at Sakura if you have a peanut allergy.
Enjoy this place, was recommended by a family member and it didn’t disappoint
Amazing service, our waitress was very nice and was checking in on my group regularly. The portions match the prices, so before you order multiple dishes be ready to take some home. I didn't try any sushi but the Chinese menu was the best I've had in the jackson area
They have some great food! The chicken fried rice is the best! I would love more soy sauce and they don't hesitate if you ask. It should just be more in bag. Other than that they are fast and friendly!
This place serves such a large variety of consistently good food. Plus the prep time is always great on a call ahead order. It's one of my favorites for grabbing a quick roll before heading to the house. Tonight's meal was a Fresh and Light, which was excellent. The rice was well cooked and rolled inside are crisp avocados and a flavorful selection of fish that pairs perfectly with Mango Broccoli Sauce.
I had "Phoenix" house rolls, philadelphia rolls and seaweed salad w cucumber. Everything is delicious. You will not feel like you eating "rice with mayo" rolls.Place is kinda dated but feels comfy. No relaxed music or any special atmosphere to bring date with you. Staff is nice and friendly, huge menu and professionally made and good looking rolls. Highly recommend
Decided to give this place a try. On first impressions it has a sad interior. Definitely not a place you take anyone to impress them. Saw that they now offer a Chinese menu. Ordered from the lunch menu. Me: chicken Katsu, friend: hibachi steak. We also ordered hot and sour soup and a garden salad with ginger dressing. And shrimp Gyoza. Soup was hot with heat but other than that wasn’t great. Was just slimy. Garden salad with ginger dressing was delicious! Gyoza was meh. I’m used to pork Gyoza, shrimp wasn’t the best taste. The chicken Katsu was fantastic! The slaw that came with it was tasty too. The Steak hibachi was great. Overall I would come back. I’ll definitely try some rolls next time. Everything was reasonably priced and the service was good too.
This was our first visit. My wife loved the sushi but I opted for General Cho's Chicken. It wasn't bad but I expected better. Apparently it's best to stick with sushi here.
