This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Jackson. The food is still top-notch; plenty of great traditional hibachi options and sushi rolls are still to be had. The size of the restaurant and location have always been a bit of an issue. If you're just having a simple night out with one spouse, friend, or family member, there are few tables/booths available. It's also located on a usually insanely busy street in Jackson during lunch and dinner hours, which is something to consider. The service can be very mixed; lately, they have servers who seem to just drop off your food without really caring about the experience during it. It can be a hassle getting someone over to your table. Food is still worth the price of admission. Just be aware you may not get the service level other hibachi restaurants give.
This is the BEST hibachi in town!! That's just my opinion.I've eaten at a LOT of hibachi restaurants.Ms. Grace is the owner and she is ALWAYS there making sure everything is done correctly and to perfection.
Very rude to me. I waited a hour and 35 mins for my food. People that came in after me received their food before me.
I ordered beef fried rice. I asked if it had veggies, they said yes..it does not. This rice is not worth $14..and they charged me for soy sauce. I should have just waited for asahi to open.
one of my favorite places in Jackson to have sushi! However, the service is terrible. Been there a couple times and have never experienced an actual service. The tall skinny lady threw shady looks multiple times, was seated after the person that came in 10 minutes after me by a old lady whom I think is the owner. Other than that, everything is good.
Food was good. We ordered off the lunch menu, the price didnt seem to be different than a regular dinner price though, for half the food. The staff did their jobs but that was about it. We go to Japanese restaurants for food AND entertainment, this one lacked the entertainment. The waitress and cook both were a little on the bland side. Food was decent though. They DONNOT have garlic! ???♀️
Can't beat this local gem. The food is always good. I've never had a complaint.
We have always enjoyed this restaurant and glad to be back dining in! We sat at a booth and were able to still watch the hibachi show! Delicious and beautiful sushi! The restaurant could use a face lift as our booth wall was covered with graffiti. I'm sure pandemic did not make the physical look of the place as much a priority....
First time ever coming here! The entire staff was so friendly and inviting. Our chef Justin Bieber was extremely entertaining and all around amazing. Food was delicious.Highly recommend coming here!!!
Food is sub-par.The service sucks just sat there 2 hours waiting on my kids food. Didn't care to comp the meal either. We literally had our food get cold while waiting on our sons meal. Definitely won't come back. Like I said the food is good not amazing not great. Good. Overpriced heavily for what you get. Go to Jiang Jun for better service, food, and just quality over all. This place used to be top notch. Not so much anymore. They prioritize the hibachi and call ins. No one was there besides us at a booth then the Hibachi started filling up and we go forgot about.
