Just traveling through the area and stopped for lunch. Great food and absolutely the best waitress and customer service we’ve ever received.
My husband and I stopped in for the first time a week ago. So very happy we did, the food was delicious. I recommend this place to anyone. It's a smaller less known seafood restaurant but let me tell you bigger and better in many ways than the poplar restaurants. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. All you can eat options and complementary hush puppies exploding with flavor. Great find we will be going back often.
Had problems as far as them saying that I hadn’t paid for my carry out order, when I had I asked to speak to the owner and they kept saying that he wasn’t there. I have even called to speak to the owner and still he’s never there, I had to leave work to go up there with my receipt and they didn’t even offer me a free drink for the trouble they caused me. And I had to call them back to ask them to apologize to me. I have never heard of a business not having the owner or manager on site to handle this better
We used to dine in. Employees started being rude but the food is pretty good. So lately if we decide to go there, we choose to order our food for take out. In the past 3 months, we went 2 times. Both times we had to go back and ask for butter and sour cream for our baked potatoes. 1 time they did not have any. This time they did. But since we had to go back thru the line our food was cold. They have also started cutting their frog legs in half. Sure wish they would go back to the service and quality food they used to have as this used to be 1 of our favorite places to dine in. As it is now, we probably won't make the 2 hour drive to go again for awhile. And we used to go every weekend and dine in. Sad.
Wow!!! We were traveling through and spent the night in Jackson. Were hungry for catfish, so decided to try this place, based on reviews. Best hushpuppies I think I have ever had! Catfish was cooked perfectly, as was shrimp my husband ordered. If we ever get back to Jackson, it is a definite place we will revisit.
Ordered food tonight and definitely worst experience ever!! Was told order would be ready 20 min after placing order..arrived there 45 min later..they said my order isnt ready..had to wait another 15 minutes..got home opened my order and had 2 baby pieces of catfish and grilled shrimp with no flavor and barely looked as if it was fully cooked. Called the store back and requested to speak to manager (supposedly)..she was talking to me and the employees at the same time and then hung on me after giving my experience for the night. Bad customer service all the way!
Fish was great but service was poor. Waitress never checked on us after bringing our food.
Our first visit but not the last. The catfish, hush puppies, Cole slaw, and fried okra were wonderful, the waitress could not been more pleasant, and old school country was playing on the sound system. Like walking into your favorite diner 50 years ago.
The best fish and hush puppies and white beans I have ever had in my life! The best service also and very reasonable prices been going for years and I have never been disappointed in my service! We need one in Brownsville Tn!
We were on the road from Nashville to Little Rock and wanted to sample local food, so we read the reviews on Catfish Galley and gave it a shot. Wow! Great food and service for such a reasonable price! We ordered a couple of the four piece catfish dinners, and all of us, including our ten year old granddaughter, loved everything we got. Dinner comes with tons of hush puppies and free soft serve ice cream, and the fried green tomatoes were delicious. Our server Carisa could not have been nicer. She answered our million questions and was extremely personable. These folks know how to cook and serve catfish. We are looking forward to find another opportunity to be on that stretch of road again so we can make a return trip to the Catfish Galley.
