We love this place. My mother lives in Jackson and loves catfish. I always stop by here and get her a family pack that she can enjoy for a few days. The catfish is always GREAT as are the Turnup greens and hush puppies. They also have wonderful barbecue!!! Great food! Good prices! The buffet here has to be the best buffet in Jackson!
I've heard great things about this place, and when the wedding I went to had a reception there, I definitely took my chance to go. I'm so glad I did! It felt like I was in Pigeon Forge, a very home-y feel and so much nostalgia! Our waitresses worked very hard and were so very nice! The best thing, though, was the food, especially the catfish. Best catfish I've had in my LIFE!! Left very pleased and with a full stomach. Brooksie's Barn is well-deserving of its hype :)
My friend and I really enjoyed our day out at this restaurant. We had a beautiful view of the water while eating our lunch.The building was very nice and clean. Our waiter and the man working the cash register were so nice and very efficient. We loved our country cooked with love food!!! Mmm,so good!
My wife and I went to Brooksie's Barn Restaurant to place a take-out order. We went to the on-line menu to determine what each member of our family wanted to order and what the price would be. When we went to the Take-Out Order Window we found out that part of the food on the On-Line-Menu was no longer available such as Onion Rings.The amount we figured our order would cost after taking out what was no longer available to eat came to $66.94 (this included the taxes on the food.) However, when they gave us the food they told my wife our bill was for $102.58. This was $35.64 more than what the On-Line-Menu stated it should be. This is a terrible Bait and Switch!!!I realize that food has gone up in price because of what is happening in our country and across the world, but this is a 35% increase!!! If you are going to increase your prices you need to make sure the price increases are shown on your website and not spring it on your customer after you give us the food and there is not a way to amend our order. I will no longer ever go to Brooksie's, nor will I recommend this restaurant to any of my friends or family!!!Linda and B.J. Brice
Had a great experience at Brooksie's. The waitress was very friendly, the food was continually fresh on the buffet which says a lot due to the odd time that we were there to eat. We sat against the back wall by the windows overlooking the pond and almost forgot we were actually in the middle of town. Very good experience and will be back in the future.
I am SO happy I found this place. The food is amazing, the deserts are to die for, and the staff are all extremely friendly and outgoing. The restaurant sits right next to a beautiful pond with a solid wall of windows to view it from just about anywhere inside. If you're ever in the Jackson are definitely check this place out!
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Supper was wonderful. One star down because the larger group tables were too close together. Made it awkward when another group sat next to us. Our chairs were not placed to be spacious enough to be confortable. Overall, I highly recommend for good food!
Dedicated to those with a Southern appetite. The food is delicious and well prepared. The facility is very clean and the staffed very friendly. The price for the buffet is the best in town. You will always leave Brooksie's Barn with a full stomach and a smile on your face.
Friendly atmosphere! We celebrated our coworker retirement party and the food was amazing. The waitress was always there and she was very kind.
My husband liked it, but as with most buffets, there's not much I could eat being on a strict diabetic diet. I also suggest they add more to their salad bar. Not even a olive on it and not to many people want whole boiled eggs.
