Visited the Casey Jones museum and had lunch at this convenient store and restaurant. There's a buffet which includes a salad bar. Be sure to check the website for the daily menu as the food items vary by day. It got really packed around 2 so get there early!Make sure you check out the candy store and ice cream shop to fulfill your sweet tooth. While you're there, check out the old soda fountain. The sign below it says that 75 we're made and only 3 exist today!

Well this was a pleasant surprise! We stopped here for lunch on our way from Memphis to Nashville, it was literally 3 minutes off the main highway, and in a complex with a few shops, a Casey Jones railroad museum, and this Country Store, which along with the usual souvenirs, houses both an informal cafe and a separate buffet option, which costs the massive sum of around $13 dollars each, or less if you’re a ‘senior’ of over 60! Also available are bottomless soft drinks for under $3. The buffet itself was amazing; everything from soups, salads, various hot meats, salmon, catfish, fried chicken, pastas…. this list goes on. It’s not posh, a bit like a school canteen, but for the money, well, it was our cheapest lunch to date in the USA!

Stopped off here for lunch having seen a few recommendations on the Tennessee forum. Good choice. The store itself was interesting and we got the chance to have a browse whilst waiting for our table. Everyone was every friendly, service good, the buffet varied and tasty. We felt the meal was good value, loved the banana custard desert, haven’t had that since childhood, took me back yearrrrrrs!

The staff was very kind, and the food was absolutely delicious. I was on my way back from TX passing through to go back to KY, and I wish I would've taken 3 more plates back home with me! Also had the blackberry cobbler which was also delicious. Great overall experience, and I liked the atmosphere. Will def go back again when I get a chance.

We ate on the buffet side for breakfast and it was pretty good. Great selection of meats and they were cooking pancakes right in the middle of the serving area. Not a huge buffet but definitely a Southern flare, complete with chocolate gravy and grits. Everything seemed clean, unlike some other reviews we read.

Came across this place as an added bonus while we were looking for the Casey Jones museum. The meal was reasonably priced and the food was very good. The people running the place were very friendly and courteous. Definitely worth a try.

This was definitely a walk into history. The artist's renditions all around the store are awesome and memory-invoking. The rustic vibe of the store/restaurant is nice and it was clean. The servers were nice and friendly. I loved the display of candles gone by and the other trinkets in the gift shop and the old-fashioned ice cream soda fountain were the perfect touch. But, what about the food? If I were to rate the food only, it would be 3 stars simply because the area was clean, well stocked and everything was hot. But, everything was also bland and some of the vegetables were drowning in liquid.

If you want amazing “country” food, this is it. A huge buffet filled with anything you could ask for: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, squash, cabbage, biscuits... so much. The price is fantastic for all you get. The service is spectacular. We have been a couple of times when we passed through town and we will continue to stop. There is also a little shop, a cafe, and a soda fountain area. You can’t beat it.

This is one's of the best places that have been. Friendly and respectful. Great comfort food.Very clean .If you are in the area go and visit
