The food is AMAZING..and reasonably priced. I look forward to my next visit.
This place was perfect. The price was affordable, the mac and cheese was magical, and the server (Billy) was a master at work. He made the experience truly special. Would highly recommend to friends, family, and travelers alike. Will be going back for the BBQ. Best in town by a country mile. Makes my mouth water just reliving the memory of the smell. Fantastic venue. 6 stars out of 5!
Great brisket nachos!!! My wife had the catfish…definitely the best I’ve had in jackson in recent memory! Definitely want to go back and try the pulled pork and the ribs !
We've been there twice and both times food is delicious and staff is really nice. Food is smokey and sides are made on site. Try the fried pickles, best around!
Casual atmosphere with mouthwatering food! I did not want my meal to come to an end!!
I made the mistake of going with friends here thinking "They have salads so I'll be fine". which is my usual go to when dining out with friends since I am vegetarian due to health issues.I was not fine. Yes they have salads but NONE of them come without meat. They refuse to serve them without meat. They refuse to serve them with the meat on the side. When I explained my situation I was told they used to have a garden salad but they took it off the menu because "It's a BBQ joint, it's all about meat." and suggested I order the shrimp salad because "The shrimp is going to be the easiest to pick off."Yes, and the shrimp was one of the most expensive salads as well. But the nachos have meat, the sides of beans have meat, literally everything has meat. So I order the salad. It was probably a cup of salad mix with 5 shrimp fanned out over the top that I paid $12 for. I gave the shrimp away to my companions after I picked them off the meager lump of iceberg lettuce which was my entire meal.Who has ever heard of refusing to serve a garden salad or refusing not to add extra toppings? My friends confirmed the food was good but everyone was appalled at the service and even they said they wouldn't go back after the way I was treated since there is equally good BBQ at more consumer friendly establishments.
Brisket was a bit fatty but good flavor. The sides were trash. Baked beans tasted like ketchup, jambalaya with the consistency of mashed potatoes and the greens had way too much vinegar. EDIT- apparently the owner does not like to hear what customers think.
Couldn't wait to take my SIL to Baker Bros while she was in town. Brisket was amazing. I got the catfish, excellent as always. My husband always gets the pulled pork (and lots of it)!We always start with the fried peppers and an order of the sausage and cheese platter. Did not disappoint! We always have a lovely time at Baker Bros. Food is great and we're treated like family! The live music on Friday evenings is a great time. The atmosphere is great and it has a familial, everyone's welcome vibe. On a more personal note, the owner is a great guy who is always giving back to the local community.
This is the 3rd time I went here to get BBQ and they are always out of the sides for the BBQ family packs. I paid 28 bucks and did not get what we wanted. The white beans had so much salt and pepper in them we could not eat them. There was not enough BBQ for 4 people. This will be the last time i order take out from there. It used to be amazing. I am not sure what has happened. Not waisting my money again. Third strike.Edited in response to owner:Ha! I was not rude to that sweet girl and for that to implied is just not true. I was very nice, but I was disappointed and did mention that and she understood. I was very respectful and would never do that to someone. This untrue statement from the owner is unwarranted. I guess you cant have a normal conversation with people these days. What a disappointment this is....the young lady didnt explain anything to me and simply said she hasn't worked there very long and i told her i understood that. So no she did not tell me that.
I was impressed! Amazing food, great service, good prices! I ordered the pulled pork plate, and it was some of the most tender meat I've had. Honestly, every one of us enjoyed our meals. The waitress was super friendly and helpful and our kids loved it. Everything was tender and well-seasoned. Be sure to try the fried pickle and pepper appetizer! Best meal of the entire trip!
