The food was hot and tasty, but the service seemed unorganized or distracted. A discrepancy in our order was promptly corrected, but our drinks ran empty and were not checked until we were clearly done eating and waiting for the check. We were there at 2:30 on a Wednesday, the place was by no means in the weeds. Hopefully this was just an off day. I have been here several times over the years, I was just surprised because the day staff normally has everything running smoothly.
Honestly, the food here is basic. Very bland, no seasoning or flavor. Do not order oysters, no matter how much you like it. The fried pickles flavor was actually fantastic, 5 star worthy. However, the scenery is great. Best part, the lake and views.
I was excited to take my boyfriend on a date here! The atmosphere was great! It just wasn’t what I expected. I understand being busy, but it took forever to get our food. We had to ask for it. When we finally got our food, it was good, but salty. I couldn’t finish it. My boyfriend’s steak was also dry :( if the food was better, it would have made a complete difference!
For about 2 years this has been our favourite place to come. My partner and I were pretty much here 3 days a week. However lately the service and management have been questionable. Trying to get reservations has been a complete run around and we were met with hostility when we came in to figure out what was happening. There seems to be a disregard for communication.
Great food and great service. Loved the atmosphere as well. Definitely would eat here again if we ever make it back to this area.
Got seated in cold room with wife and 5 year old daughter. Waited 20 minutes and not one waiter waited on us or asked anything. Horrible experience and never going back. Went out of way to try and see if it was place we would stop with friends while out on lake this summer. That is a huge NO. Will go to Sam's if on lake near dam.
We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was a wonderful experience! I have always loved the setting of this restaurant and enjoyed many visits, but I hadn't had their catering before. We did a taco bar and it was very delicious! The whole staff took good care of us and we all had a blast!
The food was honestly just average. We sat out on the dock and our waitress wasn’t the fastest to greet us. Our non alcoholic drinks were flat and semi hot , tasted like they poured a can in our cups. I’m assuming a good runner brought our food to us and he dropped it off so quick that when I turned to ask for some ketchup he was already halfway back inside. He never even spoke to us. Then when we asked our server for ketchup etc, she brought us ONE thing we asked for, dropped it off and quickly got away from our table. All in all we were just very disappointed. Not saying I wouldn’t recommend, but……
Had baked oysters and mimosas!! Three flavors of mimosas to choose-orange, pineapple, or cranberry. All are fantastic. The oysters were phenomenal!! Live music and wonderful atmosphere!
