Pleasantly surprised as this location has had a lot of turnover restaurants (I’m assuming rent costs have a lot to do with it) and I hope this place will stand the test of time because holy cow it’s good!The prices are very reasonable. Can’t wait to bring my grandpa here for the live jazz bands.Ps. Maddie is a great server.

Went to Smashin Crab for the first time today for lunch with my husband. From the looks of the outside of the restaurant we thought it was an upscale restaurant but to our surprise it was very casual. The food was good and they gave you very generous amounts of food. I had the shrimp basket with fries and my husband ordered the catfish basket. We also ordered a basket of fried pickles which were very good. Our waitress Maddi was super nice and very knowledgeable of the menu.
Drinks were definitely strong. Flavors were good. Would have like to see the tomalley (intestines) clean and gutted out of my lobster. Was not clean at all. Was not please to see my lobster being partially green, especially considering I spend a easy $300 this day. Would like to see a option where they offer peel shrimp for those that don't like to peel the shrimp whole. But I would definitely return other then that. The food was actually good. Great atmosphere nonetheless.
Absolutely atrocious for what they’re charging!We were sat at a table and had waited there for 30 minutes, JUST for someone to give us a drink and to take our orders.Once someone got around to taking our orders they were telling us they were out of things and that it’s be a minute for that to be done. So we ordered something different. When they brought us our food and drinks they had forgotten one of our drinks and didn’t bring out half of what we had ordered.They didn’t check on us at all so there was no one to talk to, not to mention it was one man for the whole night waiting on tables. I genuinely felt so bad for him, he did his absolute best. Which I appreciated! But for whomever is over this restaurant they need to do better and not leave their crew members so severely short staffed. Besides that though, the food they gave us was skimpy! They didn’t give us any silverware, they gave us everything in a basket and we didn’t have plates to share things on, we ate our meal on napkins. I ordered a side of potato salad which came in a small paper bowl that you’d see at schools it was soggy LOL!!!!At the end of the night we paid $55!!!! It was soooooooo not worth it! We could have gone to Olive Garden and spent $55 on something worth eating. This felt like very overpriced captain d’s!!!!I work in fast food and felt sorry for the workers, genuinely. But this place is going down hill fast and is on a fast track to just getting shut down. I don’t think you should be the center of attention in Indian Lake if you’re not serving people in an adequate way. Why have overprice food when you cannot even hold up to the expectations! It’s ridiculous
My wife and I went for Valentines happy hour and wound up staying until close because we we er having such a great time!A great casual environment with friendly staff and quality fresh food that was obviously made with love. Fresh seafood & legit (that means authentic & proper) grits made for an awesome Valentines dinner for my wife and I. Thank you so much to Nicole and the rest of the staff!Keep up the great work
Great, very attentive service. Clean atmosphere. Obviously fried food will be greasy but not like this. One entree was brought out 10 minutes before the other two All dishes had something that was cold/room temp. Either pasta, fries or shrimp were cold. Didn't mention it to server because my sister said not to it would be rude. Next time I'll wash down some cold shrimp with cooking oil and save my money.
