Coming from a global sushi-connoisseur; very glad I came here. Sushi was fresh and made correctly. Atmosphere was very pleasant, no loud music, clean, peaceful, modern, and again… clean. The waitress and service was very professional and astute. I drove across town (I flew in today from out of state) to eat here and I’m glad I did. I started with a fantastic seaweed salad followed by a chefs pick of 5pc nigiri and a good old american-sushi deep fried roll. I recommend this place.
Really disappointing, I had the duck it was ok at best. Another person ordered salmon and mussels and got 3 whole mussels .Overpriced, small portions that don't remind me of anything resembling Japanese food. I have had better Japanese food in a strip mall restaurant. If you want to overpay for ambience, well that is nice. The place only had a fe parties seated when I arrived and all the other restaurants were packed, should have been my first clue. If you are looking for good, authentic Japanese, zen go somewhere else!
First time coming here, not my favorite sushi in town, but all a nice experience. Will be back to try more of the menu though. Just seemed to lack popping flavor. Of the 2 rolls I tried 40 Kel was definitely the winner with the most flavor.
Went here a couple of days ago. The service was extremely disappointing. First they did not even show up at our table for almost 15 minutes after we were seated. They were not even busy. 5 to 6 tables including us at the max. Then the server took our order and we asked her if she can make the noodles without the meat since we were vegetarians, so no fish sauce, no meat and she said they could. It took the order almost 30 mins to show up, god knows why. . She brings us the food and the noodles has dry flakes on it and we asked a different waiter what it was and she confirmed it was dry fish flakes and I was confused because I thought we were very clear. So she calls our waiter and our waiter apologizes taking the food to the back. Now it was almost 15 minutes to closing and only my husband has food and I am still waiting for them to make an alternate plate for me. The portion sizes are actually just about right for one person so there is no way I could have managed without food. After another 5 minutes she walks out and asks, do you want us to remake it? And Im just flabbergasted at her casual approach to someone who has been sitting for almost an hour for her food. To top it all off, they made no effort to compensate in any way. I did not bother asking to knock off any $$ either because I was just too tired by then. One of those experiences that you do not expect from a "fine dining" place. The food itself was great though and the ratings are solely for that.
Visited twice during last year's business trip and twice on this business trip. This year probably has a lot of problems with sushi bars. The first disappointment was the take out, I went to my appointment time and waited too long, and the food was substandard. The $45-10 pcs sashimi looked just like the picture it was not fresh at all, and on my second visit, I think the food made by sushi beginners is probably too bad for the price. The interior is the cleanest among Japanese restaurants in this area, but the service was not thought to be friendly service even if I called and asked for it to pass by pretending not to hear it three times and then raising my hand again. I don't think I'll ever go to this restaurant again.
Syel, yes, the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere made we want to sit and relax. And the drink...woah. Love Poison. Go ahead and check that out.But you were so wonderful and sweet. When we visit again I hope you are there.
I’ve eaten there twice and it was excellent. The restaurant was nearly empty, most likely due to the pandemic but the restaurant is marvelously decorated and laid out. The food was excellent as was the service. I got the miso glazed black cod and I do recommend it. We got the tuna tartare as an appetizer. It wasn’t what I thought it would be, more like a poke on a bed of forbidden rice, but very enjoyable.
good food. sushi is good.i'm glad owner reply me?my reason is the folloings:1-a little dim light inside.this maybe the style of comfort dinning scene. just not my personal preference.2-sushi. no spare dish. its ok to swallow an entire one. i guess there's an easy way.3-we like food. will come again.
The service here elevated the experience at this restaurant. Our waiter was at our table us at just the right times without it being too much. As far as sushi goes, it was great (Avatar and Hurricane Rolls), but just a note the “Spicy Mayo” was really spicy. Most places serving items with spicy in the name are a bit mild unlike here.
The service was great and the salmon dish was excellent. A little pricey but the quality of food is worth it. Drinks excellent and atmosphere awesome.
