This is a fairly solid "nanchatte" Japanese restaurant. It's completely run by Chinese people, but from the perspective of a person who has been in Japan on many occasions...the food is not bad for Memphis. The futomaki is not bad and the sake is decent. If you don't mind the fact that they have no Japanese customer service, then give it a try.
Good food, good service and reasonable prices. As with every other place, prices have gone up since covid but only a few dollars and not as bad as other places. Food and service always good if you go at off hours during the week and not during peak times. We have given up going there evenings and weekends even before covid because of it being too crowded and slower service and sometimes food was cold. Especially on weekends. Otherwise it is always good and we visit several times a month.
I dont know what happened. The place used to have great service. We waited 15 minutes to be seated which is okay because they were busy. But then after we got seated, we waited for 25 minutes and no one came to even take our drink order. The table next to us left and new people came and they had their order taken not even a minute after they sat down, but not us.My date and I felt so bad. We left without ordering.
The interior has been updated to look more modern. It's nice, but I did kind of like the darker atmosphere the old look had. The centrally place sushi bar has also been moved to the back. I'm guessing it allows for more seats, but it was nice to be able to see the guys making the sushi as a center piece.Food is good, as always.
Delicious! Gigantic, fresh rolls for an amazing price. This place is always on point!!!
Worst service ever, waited an hour and a half for 3 sushi rolls, when we asked them what’s going on, the waiter said “so you want me to cancel your order?” We asked for the manager but he never came to talk to us, we left without eating, will not go back
Good food and service, very nasty bathrooms. Toilet paper out or on the floor to use, dirty floors, napkins and trash in every corner.
Great place to go for lunch or dinner, friendly knowledgeable staff. Top quality Japanese food at a reasonable price. Definitely one of the better Japanese restaurants in Germantown.
My favorite sushi place. Really good, but not quite great rolls. All the other food is really good too. The peanut dressing is AMAZING!!
The Joyce roll is my fav! I will definitely be back for more!
