What a wonderful experience! Down to the natural trickling stream of water right next to the outdoor seating, they have it down perfect at the Wild Plum Tea Room. I think the menus often rotate but we ordered the Smoked Salmon Roll on Greens to start with, the Wild Plum Medley with tomato bisque, chicken salad, and a refreshing dill pea salad, and iced tea. Everything was fantastic and definitely worth making a reservation and taking the time to enjoy. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the space itself was tranquil and inviting, and the food was great. Not to mention we were able to have our dog Morty with us on the patio and they brought him a bowl of water! No complaints at all and can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Gatlinburg, TN.
We always make a point to try to come to Wild Plum Tea Room whenever we are in town. Menu items have changed over the years but it's always delicious. It's a small operation with very limited seating, so reservations are required. The menu doesn't list every single ingredient, so make sure you tell them about any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
This was our first visit to the Wild Plum but will not be our last. What a hidden gem. The food was so masterfully prepared and the presentation was beautiful. The two servers, for lack of a better word, were well versed on the menu offerings and so friendly and helpful. The food was incredible and we enjoyed every course. The tea was awesome, both hot and cold. There was three of us and we all ordered different things from the menu. Wow!!!!!! This is a must if you are visiting Gatlinburg.
Reservations are a must, and we didn't have reservations. Things have changed since COVID, I guess. Anyway, they were polite, but made it clear they "only had enough food made for those with reservations." We, politely, left.Four star rating, in memory of the good old days.
This is a great little place off the beaten path to enjoy some tasty food and tea while relaxing in relative quiteness.

The Wild Plum Tea Room was indeed a hidden gem during our trip to Gatlinburg. We made sure to make reservations ahead of time. We decided to try the iced tea versus the hot tea. The iced tea is uniquely delicious! Highly recommend. We ordered the salmon appetizer, the chicken salad entree (with a delicious cinnamon scone) and brownie sundae. My only regret is that we didn’t try the Lobster Pie which sounded amazing. The servers were very friendly and helpful! They are definitely one of the reasons to return. If you’re looking for a unique dining experience, I would give this place a try!
We can't say enough wonderful things about the Wild Plum. Casey is an amazing chef. Agatha and Brooke are kind and attentive servers. The ambiance of this little Austrian style log tea house is breathtaking. This is our favorite annual tradition! Order muffins to go when you make your reservation.
Quaint tea house situated in a cabin with a deck for outdoor dining. Delicious Austrian-style tea served hot and cold with unlimited refills. Savored the chicken salad, cold pea salad, tomato bisque and mini plum muffins. Save room for their homemade desserts!
It was our first visit here, to this quaint beautiful restraunt in the forest. The hostess explains the menu and dishes,so choices are easier to make. Bone china tea cups,and plates. Excellent beverages,try their teas. Pure joy for your soul. We each chose different entrees,but shared the pimento cheese appetizer. A major treat for you awaits. Each meal was beautiful,delicious with fabulous ingredients hand made. Their signature German potato soup,was unlike any We have ever had. Absolutly marvelous!❤ well worth every penny
