My husband and I ate here for breakfast on a Friday morning we walked in and were immediately greeted by the nice lady behind the counter, we ordered our breakfast and coffee and sat down at the little table inside, the cook immediately started on our food when we ordered and he sang the whole time he cooked and I loved it! When we got our food there was a ton of it! My eggs were cooked perfectly! The grits were absolutely amazing the bacon pieces were huge! My husband got the potato’s as he is not a grit person and he really liked them as did I we could barely finish our food as they give such a big portion this is one time I overate just because the food was good and I wanted to make sure I ate it all lol best breakfast we had visiting Gatlinburg. If you want great food a friendly and very upbeat staff you will not be disappointed! These are people who truly enjoy what they do and make sure their customers enjoy their experience as well! I will definitely be back here when we visit the area again!
great food and atmosphere
This place was amazing. We had a late breakfast. The pancakes were so huge and thick that I couldn't finish all of them. The owners were extremely nice and had our food out quickly. The owner sings while he cooks and that was another perk. You can tell they enjoy what they do. We will be returning next time we are in town.
Timbers Log Cabin Restaurant was the perfect southern experience. Staff was friendly, food was great, and the cabin itself was charming. We ordered the Biscuits and gravy and the French toast breakfast, both with the Timber’s bacon. Particularly the bacon, I’m not sure what they do to it (maybe brown sugar?), but it was fantastic. I think before a day of hiking next time we would order something more balanced ? but we didn’t have any complaints. The inside of the cabin is FILLED with little drawings from kids who have visited so that was neat to look at while we waited for our food. Definitely will be back when we come to Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains again!
Honestly one of the Best breakfast/meals we have eaten in our lives! The service is Amazing, the owners r the nicest people! The wait is worth it they cook everything from scratch so it takes time, but is cooked with true Love! The potatoes r seasoned perfectly! Pancakes n French toast were amazing! Everything was cooked perfect ! The decor is down home n u can post ur artwork u draw on the walls!
If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, with down home cooking, off the beaten path, this is the place. The owners are the host/hostess, chef, waiter/waitress…they do it all with a smile and warm welcome. We got breakfast and it was more than we could eat. Highly recommend!
Great place, great food. We had breakfast, might go back later for a burger. Lots of love and pride goes into the food they serve!
Wonderful place to eat! Very quaint, but delicious food and genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere and the owners were a pleasure to speak with as well!! The shrimp and grits were off the hook and the Log cabin French toast was a big favorite. Loved it so much that we returned 2 days later and it was consistent with quality, kindness and flavors. Five stars!?
We went to Timbers with some family who had been there before insisted it was the best breakfast in Gatlinburg. They were not wrong! We were there late morning but breakfast is served all day. I don’t know how they make their grits but-DELICIOUS!!! The pancakes and bacon were amazing also. No one in our group was disappointed!
While shopping in the arts and crafts area I asked a shop keeper for a restaurant recommendation. She told me she frequents this establishment and said the owners are great. I had shrimp and grits as a special and it was fantastic. I had a half order which was huge. My friend ordered a burger with bacon and avocado and loved it. Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Would definitely return.
