I guess I expected much more based on other reviews. Our waiter was wonderful! The “peddler” that took our order spoke way to fast and low and seemed annoyed. But they were busy so I kinda get it. Salad bar was amazing! Wish I had ate more but didn’t want to fill up on salad. My meal-eh-not the best. First off my potato was hard, the one roll I received wasn’t very warm and was just ok. Now my steak-I have had better at a cheaper steakhouse. Meat quality wasn’t the there and had a lot of fat. The meal was good but underwhelming-I wouldn’t return.
Was excited to eat here after seeing the reviews and billboards in the area. The wait staff was excellent and attentive. The salad bar was amazing. These things shouldn’t be the best part of a steakhouse. The steaks were a huge disappointment. They were the price of Ruth’s Chris or Chop House but the quality was that of Texas Roadhouse. If you’re going there for a good steak, it’s mediocre at best.
Second time eating here. The salad bar is awesome and the steaks are great. Do not go here if you are on a budget, family of 8 with 3 kids was 280.00 with the tip. Worth every penny.
Excellent dining experience. We were visiting TN during my birthday week and I really wanted eat here for my birthday. Called ahead for seating for 6pm and was seated by 6:15 (it was packed). Not much parking room for such a popular place, but it worked out. The seating we had was beautiful and by the windows overlooking the creek. The servers were very nice. Good salad bar, amazing prime rib, green beans and creme brulee. Food service was fast, but we didn't feel rushed at all.I consider this a fine dining establishment and both my boyfriend and I dressed nicely in accordance, but we saw an a variety of clothing options from other patrons (pj's, etc)...
This is a cool space. Definitely a retro/dated feel and a classic menu. The food is good, steak was good. Salad bar comes with any entree. They had some gluten free entree options, but they were few as the menu is pretty small. The window seats made us glad that we came, but we probably won't visit again. The creek view is really wonderful. Service was fine, bathrooms clean. It has a definitely low light ambiance. I think if the service had been great it would have been a repeatable experience, but it was perfunctory so it didnt feel like fine dining. There is a small dedicated parking lot with free parking.Note: pictures shown were not all GF options.
Great service, experience and food. This was the place that we have decided to try meat after being vegan for few years!Rib eye steak prepared medium-well was outstanding! Any dish comes with salad bar. Our favorite appetizer was fried mushroom cauliflower. Local IPA was great! And you have to try strawberry doughnut cheesecake - indeed “must try”!
Went here on a Wednesday night. Convenient location and parking. Called ahead of time to reserve a set. Very nice restaurant the back windows are trees so it’s a nice setting feels like a restaurant in the woods. Entrees get a side and the salad bar. There is an upstairs lounge/bar. Ordered the filet mignon, trout and salmon. Cocktails were good. Hot rolls and butter served before the meal. All the food was delicious and cook properly. Multiple stalls in bathrooms. Restaurant is tables and booths. Nice service, all the servers work together. Handicapped friendly close parking.
Why can I came here while we're vis iting our 30th wedding anniversary. Any restaurants don't live up to the hype but this place really did. Food was great salad bar was awesome drinks were just right. Dessert was amazing. The service staff was excellent no problems atmosphere was great, nice and down by the river. We'll definitely be back
6 of us went here for dinner and it was delicious, an awesome salad bar comes with your dinner and the Filet Mignon is delicious. The service is also superb, highly recommend.
We have been coming here for over 30 years when visiting Gatlinburg. Again we had an enjoyable dinner. This popular restaurant runs like a well oiled machine. No one is going to rush you but you can be in and out pretty quick. We lucked out and had a table overlooking the stream which is always a treat. Everything still comes with their wonderful salad bar. Our prime rib was tender but seemed a little bit overdone for medium rare, it was not as juicy as one might expect. But we did enjoy it. Parking can be difficult and is very expensive if you park in a paid lot.
