Went here after seeing the ratings and prices, honestly good food, the clerk/owner? is an absolute delight. Would honestly drive 7 hours again just to eat this food again.
My dad was so excited to eat here during intermission of Gaitherfest. I’ve never seen him walk so fast :). We got there and it was closed. I think the owner saw the complete disappointment on my dad’s face and he opened the window to apologize and say that they were closed. We told him we’d “run” to make it on time and instead of saying “too bad” like anyone else would, he literally asked the guy working with him what was left and served us anyway. We had the best hotdogs we’ve ever eaten (soft, warm buns and delicious toppings) and the yummiest homemade chips and cheese dip. I wouldn’t normally consider myself a big hot dog fan but these were so good. And the owner is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. It’s obvious that he takes tremendous pride in what he does. We will never visit Gatlinburg again without eating here at least once!! And my dad plans to go again tomorrow before we leave!
Delicious! The Dawgs deal was great. Chips and queso was the best! My girls loved their plain hotdogs too. Great place for a family to eat cheap in Gatlinburg.
The smoked gouda dog was delicious! The food was reasonably priced, and the bottled water was the cheapest I saw anywhere. They are currently operating as a walk-up and order style restaurant but there are benches in the area where you can sit and eat.
Absolutely the best hotdogs homemade chips and dip and the coolest dude I have met here. If you are looking for a snack or a meal do not miss your chance to experience the best little food place in Gatlinburg! Seriously if you have never tried it you are missing out tremendously guys!
Great service and good food. For a family with 2 picky eaters, everyone enjoyed their food. Was nice to eat outside on a warm early spring day.
My wife Melissa and I were looking for something convenient yet delicious as a mid day snack. The Chili dog and the yummy yummy chili cheese dog hit the spot. What a great hotdog!!! Definitely revisiting HDD on our next time here.

This place is awesome! Owner is cool and down to earth friendly. I own a food truck in Florida, I love food and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
SO good. The guy behind the counter was such a nice dude and it improved our experience 100 fold. Even if the food hadn’t been that great (and it was, the home made chips are awesome) I would have still given 5 stars purely based on how nice this guy is. The chilli is also incredible and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like chilli all that much. Definitely worth the stop, really good lunch spot.
