I have for years heard how wonderful Fannie Farkle's corn dogs and sausages are. So this was my year to try them. I got the corn dog and my husband did the sausage with onions and peppers. To begin, next time, I would get the sausage with onions and peppers. It was twice as good as my corn dog. The sausage was flavored nicely and cooked perfectly. It put together with the onions and peppers was just a hit for us. We would definitely get that again. Now for the corn dog, it was okay. To me (maybe just my preference) but the batter was not cooked enough. I like my corn part of my corn dog to be a little crispier than these were. The hotdog was okay, it was a hotdog. Nothing special. Had it been crispier, maybe I would have enjoyed it a little more? Not sure. I just know it did fill my carving for carnival food. As for the arcade there...we didn't participate, we took our food and walked on down the parkway. The price was good for what you got. I could see why many people were in line to get something from there. However, next time, unless I am just carving carnival food...I think we will skip it and get something else!
The arcade was fun! A nice selection of games and they were very reasonably priced. Good selection of prizes as well. The place was super clean, with clean bathrooms too. We also ordered the sausage sub with peppers and onions and it was delicious!! We will return when in the area.
After having corn dogs at fairs and amusement parks I thought they were all the same. These are definitely on another level!! Will definitely be back for more.
Best corn dogs ever! Our kids were so excited about these corn dogs - and they didn’t disappoint! The breading is so good. This is a really good, quick snack to grab in between the other stops on the strip. They also have Philly cheesesteaks that looked and smelled great too!
Worst hot dog I have ever had, it had been in the water for about 6 months. Do not even try it!
Wow – The place was smaller than I expected but the location can’t be beat. You go right inside and they are cooking everything up. Probably more peppers and onions and sausages than I have ever seen in one place lol. Having never been there, we just got two corn dogs. Wow-highly recommend. I normally enjoy a corndog from the Local speedway gas station every once in a while, but these are another level. Hand dipped when you order and super long. Great flavor, too. They are a little pricey but worth stopping and at least having one while you’re in Gatlinburg. I’ve heard the peppers and onions in Philly cheesesteaks are very good, too. Maybe for next time! The arcade looked fun as well though we were on our way back to our hotel and wanted to grab a snack/late meal to have on the way. We recommend places like Fannies, All Sauced Up, the village shops and Paula Dean’s kitchen to people who we know that are heading up to the mountains. Next time we are there, we are surely going to say, hot Diggity dog, let’s go to Fannie Farkles!
Great place , best corn dog I've ever has well worth it . You will leave happy . Even the arcade was fun .
My husband tried the sausage sub with peppers and onions he said it was really good but for $10 was overpriced. I was going try a corn dog but changed my mind since it was late. Pricey like everything else in Gatlinburg
We love Fannie's!! Our family has been coming here for years and love it! We eat, play games, and pick out prizes. My daughter was so excited to get a shirt that says Fannie Farkle's!!
We have been visiting Gatlinburg for years and had never gotten around to trying an Ogle Dog from Fannie Farkle’s. We tried one on this trip and it was a nice little quick snack. I don’t eat corn dogs that often but Fannie Farkle’s has been around for a long time and worth trying at least once if you are a regular Gatlinburg visitor.
