Fun Name made me stop in! The friendly staff did offer to have me taste their homemade Lemonade. I tried it but didn’t order any since it simply didn’t taste that good. In the Summer I like to enjoy fresh squeezed! Sadly, this just tasted like mix. I was then offered the Fruit Tea. It was certainly better then the Lemonade but still not the Southern Fruit Tea I like. However, I did order a small cup of it. I also ordered the chicken sandwich and macaroni and cheese that the cashier suggested. The food was just ok. I would eat again but not make a special trip to do so. I did like that they had outside private seating. The only problem was that there wasn’t a garbage can or a place to put silverware or dishes. Even when walking back in nothing was labeled. I prefer to clean my area when through. Having to walk back into the ordering area was confusing. For Beer fans not working, they were having Happy Hour with Beers half price. They did have many other food options to try as well. If you happen to pass by by one you may want to try for yourself.
Waldo’s chicken is DELICIOUS. I’m obsessed with it. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars there since they opened. And for some reason, this location has better food than the location on New 96 Hwy in Franklin.BUT — It is annoying as hell that they expect and ask for tips for basic counter service. Like, you order while standing at a counter or drive-through and can’t use a credit card without them flipping their square reader toward you to request a tip. Real servers only make $2.13 an hour so they survive on tips after spending an hour or more waiting on your table, making several trips to bring you food and drinks, etc, and they deserve tips.As many other people have complained in the press, there is no reason businesses should pressure customers to tip workers who don’t do a full server’s job. Otherwise we’d be tipping at every single register anywhere we ever buy anything. 20% of my bill for a two minute interaction is INSANE. I’ll save that for servers in a full service sit down restaurant.
This is the second time we have been. The 1st it was really good but this time the breading was really hot. We can' t handle pepper hot. Everything else was great.
Chicken and Beer ? you would have thought this was ludacris album but it’s not. Welcome back to another review! First time going to this wonderful cluckery y’all know my rules first time if it’s good 4 stars ⭐️. My photo of my chicken sandwich “foul mouth” didn’t do it justice and I know that’s rare from me so that just means round 2 soon. Chicken home made potato wedges and fries and them little cheddar biscuits hot DAMN I’m going back soon! If your in town and visiting treat yourself to some chicken and beer.
This. Place. Is. AMAZING!! The ONLY thing better than the food is the customer service!! When I 1st moved here I had Waldo's 6 times in 2 weeks!! At this point I feel like family when I walk through the door and there is no other place I would show my friends when they come to visit before I show them Waldo's! Mr. Tony was so helpful and professional while helping me plan a huge event. I will definitely use them for all my future catering needs!! If you do one thing today.....EAT AT WALDO'S!!
Its awesome we have a Waldos down in Franklin now. Every time Ive eaten Waldos its been great. I'd like to see the portion sizes of everything go up one notch, but I totally understand that I know nothing about running a restaurant. The staff at the Liberty pike location is usually great, and you can be in and out quickly even during the weekday lunch hour.
I just want to say I had one of the best nights tonight. I don’t do reviews but this place deserves some recognition. I attended an event at an apartment complex tonight because I’m looking for a new place to live in Franklin. The food they put out was UH-MAZING. I had to shout out place! Come to find out it’s from the place across the street called Waldo’s. They guy serving it was so friendly and knowledgeable and he even gave me a free beer chip! Like what!? Sign me up. I think I may have to move to Paxton just for this treat.
Great chicken... SPICY HOT chicken... near Downtown Franklin! It's pretty busy with a 50's diner-type feel to it & it's also giving the people of Franklin no reason to have to fight traffic up Interstate 65 or Hillsboro Road to enjoy hot chicken... and beer if you're into both. Family friendly as well!
Visited the Cool Springs Location. Ordered the fowl mouth sandwich since I had seen it advertised for Nashville Hot chicken week deals for $7. Ordered the mac and cheese as the side. Food was delicious. Everything I expected. However, it was not a “deal” as i paid $10 and some change. That does not take away the fact that it was very tasty and will probably go back sometime and try something else.
Outstanding food and service. We tried the cheddar buiscuits with honey butter, mac n cheese, fowl mouth chicken sandwich, chicken tenders - wow - good quality food - all hot, fresh, and homemade.Cate took our order. She spoke with enthusiasm about the menu, and her recommendations did not disappoint.All-around great experience.
