Over priced food. Went there for brunch after reading good reviews. The server was very nice, however, after gjving us the menus did not inform us that many of the items were not available. Ex. Juice machine down, so no juice, oven not working so half of their brunch menu (which was very limited) was not available. So we had to order different things we really didn't want. The fish tacos had a tiny lump of fish in each one about the size of a chicken nugget. Oysters were "gamey". Would not recommend this restaurant. You pay for the ambience, not good food.
Cocktails were fabulous! The duck fat fries and deviled eggs perfection! The salt block tuna was the only thing we didnât love. Portion was way too small for the price. The pork shank was huge. Hot fried chicken was mildly spicy compared to typical Nashville hot chicken. Maple salmon was an ample portion and very tasty. Honeysuckle pie was a slice of heaven!
Explained to waitress both people who had breakfast potatoes were not cooked, we asked her to let the chef know. No response from kitchen, no discount on bill. The salad we asked to add chicken, it was so overcooked when trying to cut with butter knife it looked like wood shavings. Field greens were old and extremely wilted. We have had dinner there many occasions but would never go back for brunch. We were there for over two hours and only saw 3 other tables filled, obviously that was a sign when your door isnât being beaten down by patrons like the Big Bad Breakfast Company.
The food was delicious but I left hungry after an $80 charge. 1 glass of house wine, 1 app, 1 entre, 1 dessert. I'm not mad at the charge, fair price for 4 items. I'm mad that as soon as I got home, I ate again because the shrimp and grits portion was laughably small for the price.
We stopped here for a quick lunch. We both ordered a cocktail Paloma and a Old Fashioned both were fantastic. For lunch we ordered the charcuterie board , the cheeses were delicious, the meat not so much the 2 types of ham they had on it one was very bland and the other was just greasy, the andouille sausage was good. We also ordered strawberry salads with salmon, when the salad came there was hardly no greens on the plate, I would have preferred there to be more greens then salmon. Especially since 2 salads were $56 seems very high for 2 pieces of salmon and few sprigs of greens.
We went for the first time yesterday and had brunch. We ordered a biscuit board and the biscuits were cold. The entrees were ok but also cold. There were not many people there so can't blame that on being busy. Won't be going again.
Nice place but over priced for the quality of food.
The same group of friends as today and I came here a couple months ago and they were out of 2 out of 3 entrees on the menu that we ordered. Today we wanted to give it a second chance and we ordered green juice and their juice machine was broken. We ordered soda water to drink and their soda water machine was broken. We ordered steak and eggs with medium rare steak. We received our food and the steak was very very very rare. The server even said âew I wouldnât eat steak like that eitherâ we loved the environment of the restaurant but after giving it a second chance I do not see us coming back here with the service we received today.
my waitress was from Southern California Orange County just like I was visiting here I enjoyed the food it was absolutely delicious I had meatloaf the strawberry salad and blueberry cobbler with fruit Tea
I would recommend to anyone. This was a great first time experience. The food was great, and the staff was friendly and accomodating.
