Just happened upon this place when stopping for gas nearby. We were out of state on vacation and decided to give a try. Excellent variety of selections, but their primary focus is BBQ. Both my wife and I had the Pulled Pork Plate, which came with 2 sides (a good variety of sides to choose from as well). It also comes with a couple of cheese biscuits which were excellent. Their original BBQ sauce was very good. I typically like a pretty hot tasting sauce that has good flavor. This sauce is not that hot, but had a very good flavor with just a slight kick. I definitely liked it. Food arrived very quickly. In fact we were surprised how fast we were served. Staff were friendly and attentive. Cost was reasonable for portion sizes. We received around 1/2 pound of pork. Very good quality meat. I definitely could recommend. Too bad we didn't know about this place earlier in the week as we may have then visited twice.
Great BBQ, ribs were a little tougher that I would have liked. Chicken and Pulled pork were outstanding. Overall a great place, definitely coming back.
Other than the obnoxious pop-country blaring over the speakers, it was actually pretty good. We had the 2lb ribs and the 3 meat combo. Potato salad was excellent and the muffins are a nice touch. Ribs were cooked well, sauces weren’t too sugary and the pickles were crunchy and well made. BBQ chicken was the highlight of all selections. Perfectly moist and cooked to perfection. Carolina pulled pork was velvety soft and the brisket was a bit to firm and greasy. Peach tea was perfect on a hot day, but I recommend topping it off with unsweetened tea unless you like reaaaal peachy stuff. Collard greens were cooked well, but I had to add hot sauce. Bartender (only works Sundays) was very helpful and fun to talk to. The whole system they’ve developed is a well oiled machine and managed extremely well.
Great place!!! They were out of all pork and baked potatoes so didn't get a chance to taste neither. Really wanted the brisket loaded baked potatoe. The manager Mike "Ice Cream" was so friendly and made sure everything was good. You have to try the cheese biscuits. Delicious ?
Excellent food, service was very good food was great. I had the BBQ chicken it was awesome, cornbread was good, coleslaw was solid, fries could have been cooked better. Also got to meet Luke Bryan. Restrooms were clean. Overall, I will seek out again when I’m in the area.
The 2 meat platter with Carolina Pulled Pork and the lean brisket was good. I wouldn't say I was jumping up and down, but it's was solid. Great service at the bar top. Wish they had a larger beer selection that included an IPA or Hazy.
The BBQ chicken tasted fantastic, the ribs were grilled too dark for me. Sides were good. Our waiter (from Louisiana) was very attentive but "acted"/talked a bit too much. Will definitely eat there again!
Wow! We just had dinner are Jim N Nick’s in cool springs and we had the best time! The food was great! We were literally treated like royalty by the whole staff! Alexandria was our service and she was the sweetest! She was very prompt with everything and kept our drinks full the entire time! Best experience I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time!!
Not my favorite visit to Jim N Nicks. They stated they had waitress staffing issues, luckily it absolutely was not super busy, and they had a large kitchen staff which was good. But further compounded issues was from a very strange way of managing that.We were next in line to get a seat, we were told there was a table that had finished and paid but they were just sitting there talking. So I said okay how about we just sit in a different table, it sounds like they're not a burden on the waitress to which she replied oh no we can't seat you anywhere else, as I stared at an 85% completely empty restaurant full of open tables.I think logic was lost on these folks today. We had stood there already about 20 minutes when the bar was offered as an option. Too bad we didn't see this sooner. We ended up sitting at the bar which had amazing service so don't ever shy away from this. The brisket had more fat than meat, this was quite a surprise it was almost like it wasn't even brisket. Chewy... didn't like it at all.The mac and cheese was insanely salty and I know what it is supposed to taste like here. I ended up leaving it I really wasn't enjoying it.Bartender did bring a free dessert for all the fat which was super nice however we paid $35 for two sandwiches full of fat and a drink.Hmm. Disappointing.
Really good food, food came out fast, wait staff service was so so however. Waited awhile to even see our waitress, then waited awhile for a bill.
