Had dinner here with another couple. Service was very good and friendly. Absolutely delicious prime rib, steaks and French dip made with prime rib. The sour dough bread with crispy crust is outstanding.

The LITERAL best food I have ever ate! My husband agrees. From the moment you walk in and take in the beautiful ambiance then to be seated. Definitely big advice MAKE A RESERVATION or you will be waiting but they are very prompt on getting you seated at your reservation time. Food is cooked to perfection, mouth watering just everything melts in your mouth. Smaller menue but still great variety. Service is amazing, food amazing, come dressed up or down and they treat everyone the same. Fine dining and well worth the quality of what you get when going to to this restaurant. It's pricey but for a good reason! 10/10???
The overall ambiance of the restaurant was great. Great candle lit table settings, very nice interior look all around. A really great atmosphere. My wife and I had our meal at 6:00 pm on a Thursday night. It was still extremely busy at this time. Our waitress did on "okay" job of keeping up with us. Some extra attention would have been nice. We had an appetizer that arrived within minutes, and was delicious. My wife ordered the prime rib with a martini. I myself chose the filet with a gin. Drinks arrived just before our food which was perfectly timed. We could tell our plates hadn't been sitting for 10 minutes waiting for someone to bring it out. My wife's prime rib was ABSOLUTELY melt in your mouth, SMACK YO MAMA DELICIOUS!!! My filet on the other hand, was a little bit more charred on the outside, and the flavor, well it just wasn't there for that cut of meat. Overall we had a wonderfully pleasant experience, and I would say without hesitation will return for another visit.
Service was on point and dessert was delicious. Like the old skinny fries the best. Hoping it is a short term supplier issue and that they will be bringing those back.
We had an amazing dinner with our family at J. Alexander's Restaurant. The salmon dip appetizer was devoured by our adult kids, and my pecan encrusted trout with a side of roasted beefsteak tomatoes was delicious. Our waitress was delightful and helpful.
Based on the reviews of others, our family went to J Alexander's for dinner after a busy day. We called ahead and they put us on the list of people waiting for a table and then a few minutes after we arrived we were seated. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for dinner. I had pecan encrusted trout with a side of roasted beefsteak tomatoes and a glass of chardonnay. The salmon dip appetizer was delicious as well.
I ordered the hamburger which was tasty but not spectacular. Fries were good. Husband had pizza and enjoyed. Service was good and waitress was accommodating. Restaurant was busy. Nice meal with family.
If you are going down the highway, this is just a few blocks off Interstate 65 and is really good. It would not be the quickest (meaning it’s a sit down place, not fast food) or the least expensive, but the food and the wait staff were awesome. They also have great drinks and desserts. I ordered the boneless crispy chicken with fries and it was way more than I could eat, but I did manage to squeeze in a piece of banana cream pie. The drinks are fun, ask your server for some recommendations (I’m not a big mixed drink guy, but my wife had an expresso martini). Parking is free and convenient. Their drink list is large and interesting. There was a mix of older and younger; couples and families when we were there. The interior architecture is dark wood with high beams and has booths and tables. The restaurant is broken up inside with various different floor heights and half walls to create a relatively low noise environment. Overall, great ambiance and staff we really enjoyed it and gave it a 5/5.
Such a good end to a long day. My son picked this because we were both hangry and tired.inside was nice and calming. cool, easy and we were seated right away. It was quite busy too. We were under dressed it seemed but noone cared.I needed fortification so there was a Buffalo Trace special cocktail and i had to have it. BT is my favorite whiskey. the drink was great but i cheated and added some ginger ale. Made it even better for me. ;)They had white bean soup which was ham and bean. OMG it was amazing!! i scarfed it all down. started feeling better.My son had margarita pizza and i the steak tacos.i sampled the pizza and it was awesome. He loved it. The tacos were delicious but i could only eat 1 as the soup was generous.Our waiter was so nice and courteous. Very attentive yet i am bad with names so i apologize. He was wonderful.i took pics so you can enjoy our dinner too.I highly recommend this spot for dinner and especially if you’re hangry like we were…lol. Hits the spot and time to chill.
