Love this place. One of my favorites. Had a fantastic waiter today, Alexandre ...super nice, super attentive, and super quick service. Will definitely be coming back soon.
I got takeout and asked the griller to cook my bowl well done, which he cheerfully agreed to. When I got back to the office, I found that most of the bacon was incredibly soft, raw in fact. Looking closer, it appears that the bacon was just pushed around on the grill a little and changed color due to the sauce. Certainly not healthy to eat. This is the third time this has happened at this restaurant. No idea why, but the decline in quality is sad to see.
We went in for lunch & were pleasantly surprised to see 20% off if you get take-out, so that what we did. Select bowl size & your choice from a variety of rices & noodles then go fill up your bowl with all the meats & veggies that will fit. Pick your sauce (don't forget to put it in one the little sauce cups hidden off to the side & not in the bowl!) Hand to the cook & watch the magic?
This is the first time in maybe 12yrs since I've been to a Genghis Grill, I was so excited I always loved eating there.... unfortunately I'm very disappointed, I got white rice, veggies and tofu, when I got my bowl it was cold, a lot of the rice was hard, tofu hardly cooked everything was cold also seemed like I hardly had anything in my bowl "my sons kid bowl had more"...... not worth the money at all 50$ on waters, 2 kids meals and 2 regular size bowls. I would have said something to my server when I received my bowl but he came to the table 3 times and spoke to us maybe twice, at the end of the meal I told him about the rice and how my food was cold and he said ok ill tell the cooks, walked away and didn't see him again.
I like this type of restaurant but they were very limiting on rice and noodles. Not real happy with the size of the bowl. I would suggest finding a different brand until Genghis realize how cheap rice is and gives you more.
I just love this place. The location in Murfreesboro is larger but the Cool Springs location has a nice outdoor seating area. When you arrive, you choose to purchase a small, medium, or large meal. They ask you to choose up to three bases (ie rice (steamed, brown, or fried), udon noodles, cabbage, rice noodles). They provide you with a stainless bowl (sm, med, or lg) and you fill it with your choices of protein and veg. They have a great variety of protein options including bacon, sausage, pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, calamari, imitation crab, beans, tofu. They also offered a variety of sauces (which you also decide how much is used).
You get a choice of three sized bowls. You can choose from several meats and veggies and different starches (white or brown rice, udon noodles, etc) and several flavors of sauces for your custom stir-fry meal. It's delicious food with a friendly staff.
Such a nice place. It's usually not crowded in the afternoons, which is great for me. It's a hidden place. Staff is great!

The service all around was phenomenal they deserve such a huge raise for being so kind and awesome. Unfortunately ever since I ate my food I have been extremely sick. Nausea and vomiting and diarrhea:( I worry the meat was bad or something. I'm not sure but I can't give it a second try and risk getting rid sick again
