Chai Samosa is the best Indian restaurant in Franklin, Great food and great people. I visit this restaurant almost every day to pick up lunch meals; it's kind of Thali for go, and sometimes I see them twice a day to hang out with friends for a chai and snack/Appetizer in the evening. But, Among everything, one of my favorite picks is Bucket biriyani over the weekend. It tastes so Yum! I highly recommend this place. Suchit(person at the register) gives excellent suggestions if you need advice.
Their Sweets and Chai are great. I have tried many times and I liked it every time.Other than these, I didn’t like anything which I have tried. Tried onion samosas, Chicken 65, Chicken wings, Spinach pakora, Veg puffs and Biriyani. None of them tasted good. I tried their Biriyani in their initial days & saw No flavor and taste in it. I will try Biriyani one more time and update the review.Except sweets, all the other items price are cheaper and reasonable and also the quantity is more. ??
So far I have been horridly disappointed by Indian food in the US. Usually Indian cuisine is dumbed down and made bland and insipid for the Caucasian palette.BUT NOT HERE! My first bites into the onion samosa brought me back to the years of my College days in Puttur. Good for the price. If you like typical Indian street food you must try here.
I have tried ChickenDum biryani and Boneless Chicken Biryanis..They both are good.Price for the money : 5Food taste : 3.5Staff & place :4
Buffet experience which they recently started on Friday and Saturday is a total disappointment. As they started last week we went today to try the food. There are very limited options for vegetarian food . It's not worth for even 9.99. Fried rice tasted like tomato rice. Food is cold on all the trays. Please arrange fresh and hot food as this is only on Friday and Saturday . Three stars as the buffet was recently started .
Very nice people, especially Sushant. In fact, that's why I am leaving the review...he asked me more than once :-). The food is pretty hotly spiced so you may choose to see if you can get that toned down if you'd like. Very authentic and we only saw Indians partaking. Fairly limited menu although since we are vegan it was even more so. I enjoyed the samosas and the masala dosa. The sambar was pretty hot and the vada so-so. They did not offer the typical coconut chutney although the 3 chutneys we did have were fine. If you like Indian food made more especially for Indians you will like it I believe.
We placed a catering order with chai samosa. Chicken dum biriyani, chicken curry were amazing. They have friendly staff and amazing food. Highly recommend them. Thank you all for doing such a great job
The restaurant is located in Indian Bizarre Grocery. The grocery store is well laid out and organized. Many of the items had dates when checked for freshness. Chai Samosa has a neat setup with places to sit. This place does offer Indian Sweets offered in a display case. I did not see jalebi in the display case. That's my favorite. As of May 2022, the price for sweets was $10.99 per pound. The food menu included some samosas and other Indian snacks. I ordered the Punjabi Samosas. They were spicy and freshly cooked. They also had corn and onion samosa. Chicken samosas were not available. Be sure to ask before ordering. The workers were attentive and helpful. The space was clean and organized.
Visited on weekend and the owners/their friend's just occupied all the tables..and they were not even eating anything....Food was good.. ambience can be better if owners keep it professional..
Food is amazing and explese ower also very nice I come back I tell to my friends ana family
