Stopped by today on our way to Nashville Airport and am kicking myself for not trying it before!! The food was amazing!! I really loved the B-Roll and cheese grits!! Everything was awesome though - the bacon, the eggs, the sweet tea, and of course the biscuits!! And the service was probably the best I have experienced!! We had a little issue and they went above and beyond to make up for it!! I sure wish I had another serving of them cheese grits about right now!! We will most definitely return!!
My brother and I were passing through Nashville on our way to Birmingham. We didn't have a lot of time but wanted to have something that seems Nashville through and through. Biscuit love not only did that but it was SO good! The staff was awesome too.
So disappointing!! Our food was seriously awful and the biscuits couldn’t be cut with a fork or pulled apart without serous effort. For a place branded with the word “biscuit” our visit was beyond disappointing. Not only were the biscuits awful but my “shaved ham” was extremely salty with the consistency of cheap lunch meat. My daughter’s chicken was more breading than meat. Don’t waste your time or money, our 2 plates + “bonuts” was over $60!
Those biscuits are delicious! Nice and so flakey. The crack bacon is also delicious - make sure you sub out your regular bacon in any dish or item for it. Loved everything about this spot and would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Franklin as a must do breakfast spot. Their breakfast cocktails are also delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful when you tell them it’s your first time as well.
Beautiful house, excellent restaurant!Everything was delicious, staff was so friendly, and we got our food and coffee quicklyI highly recommend the Nasty Chicken and the Bonuts
It was good. Not exceptional but good. I’ll add that I am not a fan of biscuits but my wife is and she really liked it. We would go back again. Liked the atmosphere. The young lady who brought my coffee was very grumpy. She put my coffee down and spilled it . Didn’t notice or didn’t care. Must of been having a bad day. The rest of the staff was nice and polite.
The food was delicious! I had the best biscuit & gravy - not something I would typically choose but so glad I did. We sat outdoors since the weather was pleasant. I could recommend a power washing of the area but look past it and enjoy the food!
I can’t think of one thing they could do to improve my experience with them. Sure, it started standing in line outside but is it their fault they’re so popular? I think not. Also, while waiting outside, a gentleman came out and explained the menu to us in ways that made each dish come alive. Enough so that I changed my mind about what I was going to order based on his description of the Southern Benny. And yes, it did live up to the hype. Super friendly staff, great service, the ambiance inside seemed nice but the weather was too perfect not to eat on the back patio. Highly recommend!!
The food was cold and expensive. After the much too long wait, the biscuit breakfast sandwiches were cold. The guy who works the coffee counter did a terrible job making my latte, then had an attitude on top of it. Better breakfast sandwich at McDonald’s, A LOT less expensive than $10 each too.
While we enjoyed our food, some things failed to live up to the menu description, as well as photos others had posted. Their signature item of shrimp and grits (which has been featured on the Food Network) was completely missing the Lemon Tabasco Beurre Blanc sauce (there was no lemon flavor nor any flavor or spice from Tabasco present in the dish). The menu description also states that it is served with Gulf Shrimp, and one would normally expect 6-8 fairly large sized shrimp, but instead it had about 15 to 16 very small salad size shrimp. It was prepared very well in that the shrimp were not overcooked and dry (which is very hard to do when they are that small), and the cheesy grits were very creamy and flavorful... but what might it have been if the signature sauce was actually on the dish??? After our food was delivered, we didn't see another wait person again as everyone in our section of the dining room had received their food, and there was a line of customers waiting to order food and be seated, so I never got to ask about the missing signature sauce. My wife enjoyed her S.E.C. biscuit with bacon subbed for sausage, and the side of roasted veggies was delicious. We will come back, but I will temper my expectations on the shrimp and grits next time.
