Soooo... if you want to make NYC style pizza crust in the south....YOU CANT!! It's in the water, as the previous owners found out and other numerous southern pizzerias know. The trick is to make it great tasting with what you are working with here, and this place nails it! If I had to give it a name, I would call it thin crust Sicilian. Light and crispy with a great soft chew...lots of lovely air pockets on the bottom. Another true test of great pizza is the Sausage once again just perfect. The sauce is flavorful yet doesn't overpower any of the other flavors. The ingredients on everything I tried were as fresh as I have had at any pizza place. They had about 15 different flavors of slices and the owner said they offer full pies by the slice so you can mix and choose from the many many choices. So if you are looking for NYC style pie, try somewhere else to be unsatisfied, but if you want somewhere to have some pizza that is its OWN thing. This is the place.Old ,fat and well traveled pizza guy gives it the best pie in Franklin award.
I’m not sure where to start. Born and raised in NJ, this is not a Jersey style pizza. Never heard of NJ Square pizza either.Got a cheese and pepperoni pizza and both were about as lacking in flavor as humanly possible. Overloaded with cheese and chewy thick dough. I don’t know what this stuff is, but it’s simply not good.
the best ny slice outside of nyc, i grew up eating quarter slice pizza in brooklyn, so naming a place brooklyn pizza really had me on edge. i tried all the places here in franklin, this is the best ny slice outside of ny. oh don't get me wrong, a ny slice from my old hood would blow this out of way, but this is the best i've had since being displaced from ny for over 20 years.theyre closed now, dunno what happend
Excellent pizza. Had the works on ours. The only complaint I had is that I wish it had been cooked a bit longer to crisp the dough a bit more but still very good pizza. Best I've had since I've been in TN and we have been here for 9 years. Owner or manager, not sure which he was, was incredibly accommodating. Highly recommend going.
This used to be one of my favorites but I was completely surprised at what I was served recently. I placed a pick up order for a simple pepperoni pizza but after getting it home and inspecting it more thoroughly, I found a very overdone and burnt pie that tasted horrible. I'm hoping they were having an off night but I don't want to waste my money again if things have just gone downhill here.
Absolutely love this place. I drive 1 and a half hours from west point tn just to get there pizza. Highly recommend
Let me just say we had a wonderful experience. Made a special stop on our way back home. I'm a pizza nut so I may have driven about an hour out of my way to try this place. While waiting for our pizza we were given a game for my kids to play that were a little restless. Once the pizza came we were missing a slice. They took a piece out and put it in the freezer to cool down for my young kids to eat. Brought it back promptly and that was a life saver. Cheese pizza and pep pizza is what we got and both were delicious. It's very hard to find a good authentic pizza and they for sure delivered. Customer service was 5 starts and so was the food. This place is a must try. Homemade ranch and the crust is insanely gold. You won't be disappointed in their food. Thanks guys for sn awesome experience.
We had a fantastic experience here! A lot of places claim to serve NY Style pizza, but this place is the real deal. Huge foldable slices with the ideal balance of crisp and chew. We were also treated very kindly by the folks working behind the counter. We will certainly be back.
I was picking up an online order. The restaurant was very busy and only three people were working, so my order ended up being later than estimated but everything came out fresh and exactly as ordered. These guys were doing great under the circumstances. The pizza is very good and the garlic knots are addictive!
Wow! We FINALLY found the best pizza, cheesesteak subs and chicken parm in Nashville!!! Go see Vinny, the owner, for the most amazing dining experience! And don’t forget to try the homemade Zeppole and cannoli’s!!!
