One Sunday it was really good, but I went one Wednesday for dinner and everything tasted like it'd been on the warmer for days. Even the smoked bologna was hard as a rock. Biscuit was dry even with gravy. Just make sure you go when you know they are real bust, maybe they'll have food stocked worth eating.
Got 2 sweet potato slices, 1 not cooked good, roll dry & hard so she brought me a cold one, bbq meat was cold & greasy, brought it to the attention of the waitress who stated no one else had complained, cornbread was cold & hard. Totally disappointed, will not be back.
What a delicious meal. It's simple southern food in buffet style. With all the meat sides salad and dessert you could want. The fish was nice and tender hushpuppies were light and fluffy. Okra was nice tender fried to perfectly and one that you don't see often hominy one of my all time favorite. Pea onion salad yummy I don't think there was anything I didn't like. The staff were friendly and helpful plus very attentive to any of your needs. Would recommend to anyone. And Sundays are there big buffet days so check them out.
Been there 2 times and the 2nd time when I went to pay I asked for a military discount and the cashier said “we don’t give discounts to spouses” and I said “do you want to see my ID” and she said “no I hope you wouldn’t lie about something like that” (I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and got out honorably)…straight disrespect for women that have served. Loved their food but probably won’t come back because it left a bad taste in my mouth how she handled the situation.
We do not live here but had went to Waverly to photograph for a formal. We saw this restaurant and decided to stop. It was absolutely delicious! The food was so fresh and you could taste that it was Homemade. Sorry we do not live closer, it would be a regular stop fir us if we did! The atmosphere was Lovely and what was super impressive was that families were enjoying their delicious food together, smiling & talking, And no one had there cell phones out at the table. That is something you never see. Great Food & Family :0)
This place is great. Our food was hot and fresh. The selection of food was great, too. It was a little pricey, but well worth the price. We were told if we had come a little later, we could have gotten the seafood and steak bar....... we may try that next time.
This restaurant claims to be All You Can Eat. And it used to be. But the last time I was there when the waitress asked what drink we wanted she then said, “you get one complementary trip to the dessert bar”. That is not the way an all you can eat buffet works! Why can I make as many trips to get meat and vegetables as I want to, but only get one tiny bowl of dessert, that they dip for you? The prices have gone up also, but this is no surprise, prices everywhere have increased. I don’t plan to make a pig out of myself, but if I want a second bowl of dessert, I don’t feel that they should be able to limit me. So I give them only 3 stars. And I may not be going back there.
Much improved over past years. Great selection on a Saturday night. Great taste on all items. Good salad bar and great desserts. About $25 per adult with beverage and tax. It was well worth it for the great selection. Played arcade games afterwards. Would recommend.
One of the best buffets I’ve enjoyed. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The large variety of southern cooking (especially the vegetable dishes) made this a delicious experience. Highly recommended!!
Food was very bland. The owner was very rude to our waitress. No excuse for his behavior. The only good thing was the dessert. I will not be back.
