The cook was rude and the gravy was cold and had a film on it. The waitress was very nice but overworked. Right before we were leaving the cook told the waitress not to take any more orders because it would take 30-45 minutes to get the grill cleaned. We were very disappointed. I'm glad we live near Jefferson City, TN because the food and service there is wonderful.
I've always liked Waffle House.The manager at this location needs to take a course in human kindness. She berated and humiliated my very kind and new server.. The manager did this deed in front of the whole restaurant. I have been in food service for years and this was completely unacceptable. If this manager wants the power so bad maybe she should be a telephone pole. The food was fine,but that was my last time at waffle house.
A well oiled team. Great service. We were amazed at how well they worked together and how efficiently they prepared and served our food. The food was as good as the service, no sacrifice to quality was made.
We were passing through on vacation and wanted a nice, sit down breakfast. Not fast food, food fast. We had no problem waiting a few minutes for seats. We sat at the bar where Marsha was our salesperson/server. She was so pleasant and friendly. The food was fresh, cooked to order. Marsha, if you read this...thank you for the great service. And to all other visitors, make sure you see Marsha. Enjoy.
This is the absolute best Waffle House I have ever been too! The waitresses and cooks were busting their butts and seemed to have the positive motivation and moral. The food was great and was not soaked in grease like so many other Waffle House's I have been to with my family and friends. To all the ladies at this location in Crossville TN, thank you. My family and I live in Kingston TN but will drive 52 minutes just to come back to your location. Thank you all, and my 5 year old son still has his WH Hat!!!
I did not eat there. I only used the bathroom. From what I had seen, the place was clean and well ran. The associates cheerfully welcomed me in as I entered. The food on the plates that I seen looked cooked correctly. Not over nor under done.
Waitress and cook from overnight shift were awesome, place was super busy and they handled it.
I've been to many Waffle House restaurants in many different areas and states over the years. This one beats them all, not only with the food quality and consistency, but especially with the staff. Not only are they friendly, attentive, etc. with restaurant patrons, but they are friendly and playful with each other. It is clear they are happy and enjoy their workplace, and that makes my experiences there so much more enjoyable. With the current challenges in workplace staffing, this is especially impressive and appreciated ?
Waffle house is infamous for their sub par food, but weird experiences. The food is meh, its nothing you can't make at home. But these poor workers are so nice but get roped into bad hours and poor staffing. I always make sure to leave a 100% tip if I can just to make their day alittle better. I dont have a problem with this restaurant, just the industry that runs them.
I'm a disabled vet and only fit at the waist high bar. But due to insane covid rules...half of the waffle house is closed off. You could be in a wheelchair & they don't care
