We had a large group for lunch. We had awesome food and an amazing waitstaff. Debbie and Taylor were just super and very attentive. In fact working with the Brass Lantern was a terrific experience and the group I was with were all very impressed. My husband and I are definitely going to be back for dinner. But all of our lunches were perfect.
This was our first experience dining here. Our daughter (8) had seen it on our list of places to try and had told us not to as she had had a poor experience here with her grandparents, but we decided to try for ourselves.First, let me say that the staff was all super friendly. We got excellent service. The restaurant and facilities were very clean, as well. The food was so-so. The rolls were very fresh and probably the best thing I ate. The crab stuffed mushroom was cooked into submission. While the filling was good in theory, by the middle of the large mushroom there was too much of it in comparison to the mushroom itself. It was a little too rich. The flavors were decent. The potato croquettes needed salt and the fried mushrooms were a little bland. My French onion soup arrived warm, not hot, though still edible. It was a solid version, but it did not wow me. My husband's chicken parmesan was a complete let-down, however. First, it had been over-charred and was a bit dry. Second, it was seasoned with something that left a very strange aftertaste. He couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, the pasta was lackluster and the sauce tasted as though it came straight from a can... Not even the nicer jar stuff! Ha!While perhaps we should have taken our daughter's advice, I am glad we tried it for ourselves and gave it the chance. However, we will not be making a repeat visit.
After a day of hiking stopped in on a whim. Service was great and food was delicious. Loved the bread!
Huge portions.. I mean huge.. I ordered the fish and chips which was the special for tonight. My wife had grilled chicken served over home made pasta, my little girl had chicken tenders. Our waitress was absolutely amazing as well as the rest of the staff. The restaurant was clean and well staffed. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
My wife and I went to this restaurant last night. It wasn't a good experience. The staff was nice and friendly. However the waitress brought out our food and stuff was missing. Not a really big deal. But she kept forgetting it. My wife had the porkchop when it came to the table the first time the outside was beautiful. but it was raw inside. When they brought it back it did not have a good taste at all. I had the sirloin it was cooked perfectly but really lacked in flavor. And why carrots on the side for every dish. If your going to charge these prices. Shouldn't everything be a great experience. However they did take off the porkchops. But I wouldn't care to eat at this restaurant ever again. I wouldn't even give it a full star If I didn't have too. This is not fine dinning.
Fantastic service, Amazing food!! I had a grilled chicken salad. The veggies were fresh, the chicken was moist and the most delicious blue cheese dressing. Come eat here, you won't regret it!
I ordered the Chicken Parm and it was the toughest chicken I have ever tried to eat. You couldn't even saw thru it, obviously microwaved too long. The marinara sauce tasted like cheap can quality. I sent it back and got the salmon which was much better. The waitress was amazing; however management should have come out to address the issue but didn't. They should have also deeply discounted my meal (or free) after this experience but only gave me $1 off. The rolls were also stale so who knows when those were cooked.
I was a little nervous about eating here because there were many bad reviews. However, we came with our daughter and son-in-law and had an excellent meal. The atmosphere was very nice (linen table cloths and napkins). There was a nice variety of items to choose from. We had a hard time deciding what to order. My husband and daughter ordered broiled catfish with a crab topping finished with a white wine sauce-delicious and not the usual fried catfish offering. My son-in-law had a 12 oz ribeye steak cooked to perfection. I had chopped steak with onions and gravy and smashed potatoes-perfect comfort food. The prices were very reasonable. Staff was very friendly and efficient. We will definitely go back again when we’re in the area.
This place was amazing! I came on a hiking trip for my 22nd birthday with some friends and we decided to grab some dinner after a snowy day. We hadn't planned on going here, but we are SO glad we did. Reasonable prices for a fancy meal. Quality food. Excellent service.
Terrible Service, Terrible Food. Under new management. Fish was raw in middle, beef was undercooked, salad had only lettuce, grilled chicken was very dry, all meals did not come out at same time with a party of 6. Servers kept dropping dishes all evening. Will never return and definitely do not recommend. This was for a special event and they ruined it. Took 2 hours to eat and leave. Try Stagecoach Cafe but make reservations.
