Real down home food made fresh fixings with great service! That potato salad! Wow! Blackberry cobbler and ribs along with fried okra had me stuffed. Great service from Levi and it has truck parking! So glad my buddy and I stopped in. This place has definitely earned a spot on my favorite list!
Walked in and was instantly greeted by a very friendly employee, sat us where we wanted and asked for our drink orders. I’m outgoing and joke a lot, but our waitress just played right along, enduring my nonsense and giving back just as much as she got. She was exceptional and absolutely lovely. Very attentive and informative as she told me things about the food to help make choices. We talked to the owner who had a great personality just like our server, but sorry, he was nowhere near as pretty! I lived in TN back in 1989-90 and this is the first time I’ve been back since. But, Lefty’s is certainly a good reason to come back and visit again.
Really not impressed. I've been to a lot of BBQ restaurants & competitions, and all of them puts these guys to shame. Heck, they all have more meat in their pulled pork sandwiches than these guys. Not to mention the onion rings don't even taste as good as the ones you can get at the fair or even in a packaged bag from the grocery store. Absolutely would not recommend this place for good BBQ.
I’m a truck driver and I saw this greasy spoon sitting beside the Pilot Truck Stop. I’m glad that I took the time to order and plate (The Sampler)! It’s Outstanding!! Generous portions, and you get your money’s worth!! I have no complaints at all and I highly recommend it to any of my fellow truck drivers to swing by and check them out. You can park your truck and it’s only a 1 minute walk down the sidewalk/hill. The service was very friendly and the is delicious ? I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.??
Pretty good BBQ. Had the 3 rib plate and was really good. Ribs plenty of smoke and falling off the bone. Baked beans were awesome. Coleslaw was nothing to write home about. Home made chips were good. The fresh bread with the meal was great. Nice that they have 3 sauces. Original has no sweetness, but they have sweet and they have hot.Staff was super nice. I'd definitely come back. Wish they had some spicy cheddar sausage or brisket.
Enjoyable BBQ experience. I had turkey melt with Lefty's stew. The stew had potatoes, pork, peppers, green beans and corn....mmm tasty.Quickly seated and quick table service.Just off I-40 and I would recommend it!
Lefty's was simple, clean and as advertised. Good barbecue. Breanna was our server and she was charming and pleasant. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and iced tea. My friend ordered the ribs and chicken combo with slaw and pinto beans and fried corn cakes. The meats were well cooked. The corn cakes were hot and dripping with butter. Yum!!! I really liked the BBQ sauce. The corn, cole slaw and fries were standard. The service was terrific! The owner stopped by our table to check on everything. Our 2 entrees, 4 sides, corn cakes and 2 iced teas came to $40 plus tip. I saw several baked potatoes loaded with pork and cheese and I will order that next time with the blackberry cobbler!
I was visiting from Texas & stopped here. The service was great. The waitresses were nice & I believe it was the owner or manager was checking in with everyone which I thought was nice. I’m used to Texas bbq so I wasn’t too sure until I tried the ribs and chicken. The ribs fell off the bone and so did the chicken. They had a nice smoky flavor as well. The sweet tea was sweet just like us southerners like it. I will be returning if I pass through in the future.
We were glad we stopped here for lunch. Fast, friendly service. Sweet tea bbq sandwich fries & loaded nachos were all good. Basket of chips for table before meal good also. Would stop again when we are in the area.
The food was really good. The portions are big. I got the chicken and ribs I was stuff and had leftovers for the next day. Truckers!! Park and the pilot and walk next door. You will not be sorry.
