We finally made it to try out Hwy 55 and it was absolutely worth the wait!!! The restaurant was very clean, Ashley (our waitress), the robot & Tim (owner) are very friendly and polite and last but definitely not last the food was awesome!!! My husband had the cheesesteak sandwich and tator tots and I had a grilled cheese sandwich with fries. It was all perfect ?
Great place for burgers and cheesesteaks. Both are freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The tater tots were pretty average, but the onion rings were good - especially dipped in Hwy 55 Sauce. Finish off your meal with the frozen custard, I promise you won't be disappointed. Don't be frightened when the robot delivers you food!
Our food was AMAZING!! ? Our server was also super awesome (ask for Heaven if you go!!)There were 4 of us, but I only got pictures of 2 of the meals: the Fried Chicken Platter & the Double Cheeseburger with the works. Other items we got were the Shrimp Platter & another cheeseburger.We also ended up getting a couple orders of the Fried Pickles (my first time trying...yummy!!).We also got desserts, a Brownie Sundae, a "Concrete" with cookie dough and a dish of the truly awesome flavor of the day custard, which was an orange flavor...with marshmallows!Now we are all at home, in food comas and soooo satisfied!!DEFINITELY recommended!!
The manager/owner greeted me quickly and showed me my seating options. I later heard that same gentlemen cheering on his staff and giving the encouragement to keep working hard. It was awesome to hear. My server was great with her recommendations and interaction with me. I had the cheesesteak sandwich with onion rings. Food was really good and I will definitely go back.
It was the first visit. I was impressed with the interior of the restaurant and being able to see the crew in the kitchen. It seemed as dining room orders were delivered in a timely fashion and the servers were very polite and always came back to check on each guest. The burger and fries were cooked as ordered and the banana split was amazing!
I love everything about this place! Amazing Cheesesteaks!! The servers are amazing, so friendly and always got me anything I asked for quickly and efficiently. I like how the cook line was communicating and being very polite to one another! The wait time is as expected because everyone loves eating here. Also, the custard is amazing! Definitely my favorite dessert! Will be back very soon!!
I had high hopes for this place ? first off they didn't have any ice cream, didn't tell us until AFTER we ordered, which is kinda what hwy 55 is known for "burgers and custard" but then we get our food and with large meals get a small handful of fries? I'm not sure how our meals were classified as "larges" all of them had barley any fries. The only thing that was good was the burgers. Probably won't be going back, at least for a while. Was really bummed.
I enjoyed the hamburger with everything on it and and some tater tots.. Plus I got my baby Is Boston terrier Chihuahua mix a hot dog. This is the 1st time she didn't want to eat that that's all I got to say about that. The hamburger, it wasn't too overly thick but was plenty of beef. Had great taste and everything was fresh... The fixings on it wasn't soggy. Tater tots are good but they give you a whole lot. Really get service also.I would come back.... And I'm picky.
