As part of the Cumberland State Park, this eatery is a nice place to have a good meal with an excellent view of the lake. The salad bar was good, the buffet was ok and the dessert was better. They were serving grilled chicken and meatlof with creamed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese and rice. There was banana pudding (very good) and blackberry cobbler with a side of ice cream in a lil plastic tub, if you know what I mean. There was ample traffic but no wait, the service was prompt and continual, the building was clean and well maintained, we will probably stop in here again when we are on this area. If you desire a new place to visit or revisit a nice state park, I recommend this park for it's unique appeal!

We were camping where the restaurant is located in Cumberland Mountain State Park. We ate at the restaurant several times during our stay. The service was great as was the food It was cooked great too. They have an excellent buffet most lunches and dinner
We had the BBQ buffet. Didn't know there was a menu for other options. Our waitress never said anything about a menu. The bbq ribs were hard to eat and had the toughest bark on them. No seasoning. Just dried out bark with fat under it. The mashed potatoes were so watered, they slid through your fork. The blackberry cobbler wound up being cherry cobbler that was just canned gel with cherries. Couldn't eat it. Very disappointed at $22+ a person. I wish we would have known there was other food available to order. Like another reviewer said, it is like hospital food. Exactly processed hospital food. The views are pretty, but if you are going to charge that much money, you need to offer good food or a variety of food on your buffet.

This is the best place to eat. The food was great and the service is second to none. Thank you for a great experience was our first time eating there but will not br our last.
The food was not up to their standards like before it was closed down. Did not eat the entrée ended up with salad. Will not go back. Tasted like institutional food. Waitress was great.

We arrived around noon and had a lovely table with a beautiful view of the bridge. The service was great and the food (buffet) was very good. We have 4 small children and 3 of them are free and the 4th was only charged half price. It was a lovely break after hiking.
It is a beautiful place to have dinner. It is next to a lake where you can fish and watch the geese and other birds. It is buffet style, the food is good. We took a walk after dinner around the lake and down a trail in the woods. Very nice evening.
