Arrived in town late and most places were crowded and stopped taking orders, but not WH. They were crowded but people were eating, giving their order or waiting on an order. The staff was singing, smiling, interacting with their guests and entertaining. We ordered to go and everything was packed bagged and hot. Typical WH ... Eggs, grits, sausage, toast. It was a nice welcome to Memphis. My guess is no one leaves the place without a smile and a full belly.
If I could leave 0 stars I would! Walk in & they say carry out only. Stand in line for 10-15 mins before I order. One worker is singing(which is fine) about obscenity stuff which is not professional at all. Ordered a bacon egg cheese hashbrown bowl with side of bacon. Get my food & the bacon is burnt to a crisp & the bacon in my bowl is burnt as well! Just terrible feom beginning to end!
Very poor service in every fashion I came from out of town to see family this place is horrible! We sat there 15 min with no help people came in after us had drinks and was ordering! I decided to go up to the counter waited 5 mins still no one seemed to acknowledge me so I grabbed my family and de used to leave this place desperately needs guidance it wasn’t well ran at all and that’s coming from an Executive Chef… I honestly wish I didn’t have to give it one star.
Something about their grits and sausage keeps me coming back. Their coffee is not usually strong enough for my liking .Their prices haven't risen too much so that's kinda nice:)Parking is somewhat of an issue on the day US food delivers.
Hot and tasty fast food! The service could have been a little better but overall, it was a little better than okay! I'm a little picky! ?
I understand they were very short staffed, but the dining area was the dirtiest I have ever experienced at a Waffle House
Great service from the team tonight.
great food and service...
Memphis fresh to the 38119 n’hood coming from 38116, and fifth gen. Tennesippian by way of SF Bay Area transplant. Waffle House, GA estb. 1955, has been my reliable granny’s country breakfast surrogate for decades. After a disappointing, fully deplorable 1/29 Sat. morning experience at the closer Germantown location, I ran out and landed here for my inaugural n’hood breakfast along with visiting Oakland, CA daughter. We had been anticipating special. Wow! Traditional Southern Hospitality and quality plates rule this charming roost. At under $10., the two-egg with ham steak, hash brown potatoes and toast was consistent to their WH standard. Every shift member warmly connected with us through out. We found Granny’s kitchen table again. Lucky us. The only thing missing was a tomato slice and ChowChow.
Got the all star. Everything was cooked to order. Went in the middle of lunch rush and still they were turning and burning here. Food was on point the server was polite and on point even the cooks tool time to turn around and see how everyone was doing.. good atmosphere good people quick dine an go for us people on the go. And clean here. Restrooms as well
