I absolutely love the hospitality received from the server and hostess. The older black lady (hostess) made us feel welcome and our server-young white guy was awesome. The food lacked seasoning and the stove top mac & cheese needs to be removed from the menu. I ordered greens, potato salad, mac & cheese with a half slab of ribs. I was disappointed with just the food. This store needs to meet the front doors stellar service. We visited this store on 7/17/2022, and our bill was $133.00
We had such an amazing time here! We came to celebrate our dogs 2nd birthday. Yes we are those dog parents. The staff showed so much love and attention for the celebration and gave absolutely amazing service. It was such a great experience and Natalie was such a great server. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you!
I guess it depends on location. The perkins location was delicious the other evening, the Cordova location on today, dry, and had a taste of like burnt dirty grill. The usual dry rub was very light… idk, it was just disappointing. 35 bucks on Uber eats for me to only take a few bites.
The best way to describe this place is a spaghetti western. It's not BBQ.Got the Ribs, Brisket, Turkey, and Sausage. Tea was great, the only Star here. Sides were mid at best. The best thing I can say about the fries is they were made of potatoes, the green beans seem to be candy disguising as a vegetable, and the mac and cheese reminded me of public school lunch.Ribs - While they did fall off the bone, the sauce was generic. The meat was tender, but they didn't taste like they came off a grill, but were instead either baked or microwaved.Sausage. - Tasted like a burnt hot dog. Definitely wasn't grilled, putting "Grill" Marks on meat by just burning it in stripes doesn't make it BBQ. Also, why make a German sausage as BBQ? if you want German food, go to a German restaurant.Turkey. - Undercooked. Led to food poisioning. The worst culprit on the "Not actually BBQ" it was barely even grilled. A college student in a dorm could do better with a hot plate and pepper. You can barely tell its even cooked.Brisket. - This was sad. It isn't brisket. Its Roast beef at best. There is a difference. They slice it this way because it isn't smoked for long periods of time. I don't believe they even own a smoker. I feel bad for Memphis because this isn't brisket at all. It is a completely different cut of meat. Do better.Overall, if you want BBQ, this isn't the place to go. The tea was good, and the service was good, but can't recommend this place at all.
The only thing edible about this banana pudding is the marshmallow fluff or whatever it is on top. The so call pudding doesn’t taste any thing like bananas.
Good pulled pork sandwich. 1/3 lb pulled pork sandwich combo is 1 side and beverage. Baked beans are good. BBQ is good, and for $12, you definitely get your money's worth, for me this sandwich is 2 meals at least!
Wow! In about 8:30, brisket left much to be desired! Cold, flat taste, pepper added? Seemed like store bought rather than cooked on site. Mac and cheese was excellent, hot and cheesy. Baked beans ok, more juice than beans, small portion. Building clean, signage great, team friendly. Just got my check $19 for just the plate is high even in these times!

Over peppered to be honest. Not your traditional brisket. It's more like shaved deli meat. Could be I'm from Texas and brisket is done differently there. Staff was super friendly and place was clean. Not sure if I would try it again but that's not due to anything this business has done. It's more my pallette. I would recommend this for others to try. The quality of product was on point.
Forget the Rendezvous!! This is the BEST BBQ in Memphis! The sides are awesome and grab a dessert too!! I've not had a bad experience and I eat here as often as possible.
