Very very bad service. No working water In bathroom. Waitress DID NOT wash hands after using the bathroom. Very overwhelming odor of marijuana upon entering the establishment.

We were traveling and just stopped in for a snack. We got the ox tail and rice without sides. It was great. We also got the chitterlings without sides. They were clean and delicious. Very friendly to travelers from Colorado. Highly recommend.
Ok, I don’t know what they used to be like but today 5/1/21, service was great. Young man took order and was able to answer all my questions. AND THEY ARE NOT EXPENSIVE!!! To the person complaining about expense of oxtails; the price is very comparable to any other place even Broadway Pizza who sells them. And the meals are NOT a la carte. You get two sides an bread with entree. We had Chitterlings, spaghetti & greens. Chitterlings clean & good (would have liked a little more though); oxtails, candied yams, & greens; turkey leg stuffed with dressing & Mac n cheese. ALL OF IT WAS SUPERB. They must have improved drastically cuz I have nothing to complain about. Will definitely be back.
1ST & LAST Visit: ZERO RATING POOR SERVICEMy guest and I arrived on today (Saturday) , there were only two other patrons in the restaurant.After ordering the chopped steak with macaroni and cheese along with candied yams, my order took 25 minutes to arrive. The good thing is that my guest was pleased with her meal.To my surprise, everything I ordered was cold as if it came straight from the refrigerator. I spoke with the manager, who assured me he would prepare me a new order.10 minutes later my server brings back the same order which was reheated with the exception of the chopped steak which was ice cold. What is funny is the same two pieces of cornbread that I bit off were still on my plate.After speaking with the manager once more, he condescendingly told me he would refund my order.There was no apology nor any form of remorse for the poor service received, so with that being said I cannot give my business to an establishment that is not customer-focused.( This place is not the CLEANEST so BEWARE )A ZERO RATING IS THE BEST I CAN GIVE !!!!
A party of 7 went there today after church around 12:45 pm and decided to dine in. Employee took our order and brought our drinks to the table. It took forever for us to get our food. If it's a Sunday...soul food restaurant...FOOD SHOULD BE READY...after church...hungry customers...I DON'T understand what takes sooo long (food to come to our table 45 minutes).They did have a high volume of to- go orders but your dine in should be serviced first? We tried it but they died it, not going back.
