What a perfect lunch experience.This was the perfect mix of modern and old world beauty. It's located inside an old building. You walk down a beautiful indoor allyway to the bistro.The staff recommended I try the Chicken Pesto sandwich on local sourdough. I chose the broccoli slaw. Both were incredible. The pesto isn't overpowering and the slaw reminds me of hibachi vegetables. It was so delicious. The staff are incredibly helpful and nice. I will definitely be visiting again.
I’ve used them several time for large and small orders. Always perfectly prepared and the food is delicious. With some notice, they’ll even cater to large groups. Friendly staff and cool atmosphere as well.
I'd highly recommend The Back Room Bistro!! The gluten-free grilled chicken, pesto, and fresh Mozzarella was absolutely scrumptious! The tomato soup was soul lifting and the mocha was the best I've ever had!
The Back Room Bistro catered an corporate event for us today and they were terrific! The food was so good, it was all hot & fresh and it was on time. They did all of the set up and came back to pick up everything after they were done. Jamie was fantastic to coordinate with and their special helper Lee stole our hearts! We will definitely use Back Room Bistro again for catering needs! Thank you guys!

The Back Room Bistro is truly a hidden gem. in town for breakfast on graduation day and couldn't get in anywhere else. Google maps led us here and it was phenomenal. Staff was super friendly and food was freshly prepared and local sources used. Wish we had time for lunch here as well.

This place is amazing! The stuffed French toast is heavenly and if you are still hungry by lunch ask for the bistro club sandwich it is amazing! All the food is awesome and the service is even better! I love you guys!
3 gals from Franklin met 1 gal from Knoxville for lunch at The BackRoomBistro, our first visit to this great little place! and it won't be our last! we each had something different from the menu and there were no complaints! no loud music, the drinks are fresh lemonade and teas, the food is very good (& fresh), the folks doing all the work are wonderful! If you're in Cookeville around lunch time ~ stop by this place!
[CATERING] I can't begin to explain my disappointed in the catering service provided by The Back Room Bistro. We had a corporate event with 150 boxed meals paid in advance. Our event planner reached out to Back Room multiple times before the event to confirm drop off and delivery times... everything was on track.The day of the big event when they were supposed to arrive...... the absolute worst case scenario happened...... NO ONE SHOWED UP!!!Back Room Bistro completely wrote our date down wrong and had literally nothing prepared for our event (even though it had been confirmed multiple times via email). It was a disaster. Our time we blocked off for lunch in our event schedule was over an entire hour behind. We had to completely improvise, shift things around—we were scrambling (and our audience was full of 150 very hungry women). It was an absolute nightmare that I don't wish for anyone to ever have to experience when hosting a catered event.After we finally got ahold of them, they frantically began delivering a couple meals at a time (meaning some women got food, and some didn't). Nothing was labeled making it a nightmare to explain what was in each meal for any kind of dietary restrictions. We had specifically ordered special boxed lunches for women with strict restrictions and we never got them so our volunteer team had to leave the event to somewhere to buy them food somewhere else. Again, absolute nightmare.NOTE: Our event was in September and I waited 2+ months to write this review because as a Small Business Owner myself, I believe in making things right before writing a public review that might potentially hurt someone's future business..... but this situation was never resolved. I was automatically refunded for the 40 meals we never received back onto my credit card. BUT I never was offered a partial refund for the nightmare experience we had to go through and worse yet, I have never heard back from them—not even a simple apology for ruining our event. That's just not how I do business or tolerate to be treated as a customer.I'm sure their restaurant experience is probably wonderful, but as a very frustrated catering customer—Back Room Bistro is NOT a reliable resource for your future event.
