3 stars isn't a bad review, let me just say, but 5 stars is Michelin restaurant level which this is not. But I'm an outsider from Califoria so here was my overall experience. The interior is something very plain, a bit dirty in some corners, not too much there, the staff was friendly with sufficient English. The primary food, rice (plain), noodles (good), potatoes (good) and meats seemed overall well in appearance. Not every item was labeled I'd say about 65% were, mostly the main items. So it was a bit discouraging to try something random. The serving area wasn't the cleanest and some items were missing serving utensils. The variety is limited but somehow it works. The sushi bar was lacking some basic sushis, which they mentioned so it was expected, but it seemed empty and the craftsmanship of them were a 6 overall with flavor. You pay by weight, so for my wife and I it came out to 18$. However, the biggest shocker were their sugar donuts were a surprising sweet and lightly oiled delight to finish the meal.If somebody didn't have a first recommendation to eat that night I would bring up this restaurant.
I hate to even give this place one starfish! This was the worst Chinese buffet I have ever eaten at. The food had been in the tables for a very long time. The General Chicken was so tough I could not eat it. The honey chicken was the same. Cheese wonton were hard and not fresh. So I thought I would try the Hibachi grill. It was awful too! The rice had not been cooked enough and it was crunchy. The meats were very tough and chewy. My husband decided to get a cup of ice cream from their freezer. It looked horrible! It's color was bright yellow, which I have attached a photo. This place is not cheap and it was a total waste of our money. Definitely will not be back.
Food was good but not much of a salad bar, they had a sushi bar if you enjoy that but I can't give advice on it as I prefer my fish cooked best I can say is price fits service.
First of all, this restaurant offers many different dishes of food. They have sushi available as well as hibachi. I have eaten here before during their lunch rush and it was fresh and hot. I loved the great variety of dishes they offered. It's a buffet and I paid around $12 for my meal. Like I said, it was great food and lots to choose from. However, I decided to take my sister there since she had never been. Unfortunately, we went a couple of hours after the lunch rush. Most of the food had been sitting there and had not been refreshed. It was all dried out and stale. They need to have steam covers to place over their food to keep it moist if they aren't going to refresh the food after an hour of it just sitting there. We were there almost an hour and I only saw them come out one time to put out some new food in one bin only. We still paid full price, but ate old, dried out, stale food. Also, unfortunately, my sister was very unimpressed and stated she would not go back there because of the quality of the food.So-- go during the lunch or dinner rush if you want to have fresh food to eat. Otherwise, the quality is lacking. I'm going back during lunch rush, lol.
I used to come here all the time. I don’t know if it’s new management or what but they have declined in service drastically. I called to place a pickup order this afternoon and was told they are too busy to take a order over the phone but that I should call back in a few minutes. Never have I ever had this happened anywhere and will not be giving them my business anymore.
on tuesday afternoon around 5pm,They had dried up food of Orange chicken and potatoes ,i was there long enough they could been replaced, they put fresh noodles out but never replaced those foods ,workers were standing around, sushi maker was watching Movie on his cell ,husband nd i said be long time before we return.
This was abysmal. No music, dead atmosphere, and the "waiters" seems absolutely clueless. The food selection is a joke. The sushi chef has the enthusiasm of someone going through his second divorce. And the taste of the food was bland, bland, bland. There is more flavour in Gerber baby food. I'll stick to Panda Garden on Willow Ave. It's much more active and the food is so much better, with so many more options, and a couple dollars cheaper too! Never returning. This place is trash.
The food was cold. The meat was like chewing gum. It's better to go to other buffet places in town. They have put up posters about limited staff, limited food, limited takeout, price hike etc. all over the place. In a time where all other restaurants in the area are also struggling with the same issues without compromising on the quality, their posters come across as poor excuses. Nothing super about this place.
Really bad... just because people don't know any better, it still doesn't make this good food. Way over-priced for the most cheaply-made food they can possible serve. Everything tasted "watery", nothing had even a hint of salt, bland. To top it off I NEVER, EVER had sushi with PEANUTS inside & have NEVER seen fish cut as thin as they slice it. Best thing there were the orange wedges.
This has massive potential as a Chinese buffet. It is good, but not great. The service is usually lacking a bit, but not the worst. The food is decent and offers a decent hibachi, but not great. It is a solid experience...
