Some positive and some negatives.Location Cookeville, TN.Parking ample and easy in/out.The facility is clean.Seated quickly. This is first time to this restaurant and chain.Ordered food and came in reasonable amount of time. I ordered steak and their chicken tenders meal.Steak was decentChicken tenders very juicy.Had a side of there supreme mac n' cheese. Was not impressed. Just ok.Had a side of rice. Tasted was decent. It's rice.I have to say, their Chipotle dipping sauce was PHENOMENAL! I'd give that 5 stars.Average per person per meal about $22.Overall I would go there again and would recommend this to all.I would stick with their chicken meals and definitely the Chipotle dipping sauce. But try all their dipping sauces because they have several and I am sure the others are great as well.
I use to love ocharleys, the food use to be amazing. Now they have changed the loaded potato soup recipe and when I took my whole family today the food was cold. When I sent my soup back just to be heated it was still barely warm. The waitress was amazing but the cook needs to do better. Will not be going back very disappointed ?
The service was pretty friendly. The food was mostly good as well. I got the honey drizzled southern fried chicken with a side salad and mashed sweet potatoes. My husband got the club sandwich and fries. Everything was delicious except the mashed sweet potatoes. They were super bland and the heaping portion was just too much to push through. It was larger than my entire chicken breast. Overall a good experience. I'll probably go back at some point, just won't ever get the mashed sweet potatoes again. I'd have a picture to show the ridiculous glob I was given, but completely forgot to take one until I was halfway through my meal.
Extraordinary!!!Mixed a little shredded salmon from the Cedar plank salmon with the baked potato. It was beyond awesome!Beautiful interior and soul soothing environment!Service is stellar.Wide range of delicious choices.1st choice for 1st dates or other romantic getaways!!Distinctly reminiscent of the good old days.
Delicious! The southern surf n turf and $4 margaritas were great!
My wife and I decided to go out for dinner this afternoon and decided on O'Charleys. Over the years we have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed but haven't felt moved to give a review until today.Given the way our economy is going now and inflation it has become very expensive to dine out along with poor service and the quality of food has gone down hill as well as portion size has shrunk. However, in the midst of all of this O'Charleys was a pleasant surprise today. We found that the meals we ordered were very generous portions, in fact neither of us were able to finish and brought food home.Plus, the quality and service was excellent !We had an appetizer,Fried pickles..Chicken strip dinnerSeafood platterAnd drinksAll for well under $50 which is difficult to do at any restaurant anymore.I highly recommend coming here ..Good job guys.
O charleys food is not how it used to be. The top shelf combo was ordered and they bring me mozzarella cheese sticks. I asked why they said was out of wedges the main reason I got that was for cheese wedges.they should of told me when I ordered. The recipe for potato soup has changed does not taste the same. When I asked for it to be removed from my bill they didn seem happy 5$ for soup that one bite was taken out of not paying for cause it was nasty. They should of offered a discount on the combo appetizer as well but did not. They need their old menu items back. When you order a specific item you expect that item.
I love O'Charley's, and come here often for the great food and great service. Only 4 stars today because I was seated at my table and waited 20 minutes before anyone came to serve me, and that was after I went back to the host station to inquire as to why other tables were being served that had been seated after me. I overheard the waitress being informed that I was really mad. I was not. She was then flustered and upset when she came to my table and asked for my drink order. She relaxed a lot because I was very polite, but she undoubtedly expected me to be difficult and not tip. She even made me cut into my steak to check it before I was ready, (no, it wasn't cooked as requested, but I said it was), yet didn't ask any of the other patrons at tables adjacent to do the same.
Steak was underdone to the point that I had to return it to get it cooked a little bit more. It was also pretty tough. The Smoky bacon jam tasted like dirt, seriously dirt. We had a gift certificate that was given to me for Christmas so we needed to spend the money. The waitress was awesome. But you can only put so much lipstick on a pig to make it palatable.
I've always loved O'Charley's, and I still do; however, I feel that I must address the change in the once-wonderful-Loaded Potato Soup. It's awful. Thus the 2 stars (sorry O'Charley's). I was unaware of the change and ordered a bowl to go, excited to eat it, especially since its Winter and very cold--soup time! I could tell at the 1st bite that something was different. I can't tell exactly what's changed, but I will not purchase it again unless they go back to the yummy recipe again. Such a shame, and I'm very, deeply disappointed. Please. Please. Change it back. I can't be the only one who agrees.I will still eat here. The rest of the food is still yummy.
