First time over here. The service was good but the food was absolutely lousy. I ordered shrimp and Flounder. While the shrimp was tasty The Flounder was essentially deep-fried skin of the fish very little meat. The waitress was understanding and offered us a free dessert but didn't make up for the fact that the food was of poor quality. I would never go back
We went with a lg crowd.& were only allowed to pick from a select menu. They hike up my husband's meal $6 & mine $5.00. Then they added an additional $1.00 in mine when I went to pay. Waitress didn't want to anything about it. I told her to talk to the manager!Food was not that good! First time there and we will not be back!
We had a group of 41 & we were given a menu we had to order from not a regular menu. Well guess what! We were way overcharged for our meal. They even tried to charge me an extra dollar on top of every thing else. I confronted the waitress & she said she didn't think she could do anything about it. I said by God you ask the manager! They took the $1 off but it still came up on my credit card the original price. I confronted her again & she said it will take a few days to correct it. It is damn dirty to do people like this. I refused to give a tip because I figured the tip had all ready be included with the increased price! The food was not all that good!! Won't be back!!
Ordered the Cajun chicken breast. It was tough and dried out. I only ate a few bites. Had no flavor either. The rice and vegetables were good. Service was slow. Was a very expensive lunch $22 and I left most of it behind. WONT GO BACK!
This place was great! The prime rib was cooked just as I requested and seasoned perfectly. I was very please with the escargot as well. Definitely will be back to this hidden gem.
My wife and I are big foodies. We are always looking for the best local eateries when we travel. Often times it's difficult to find places that compare to the qualities we get in DFW, where we live. Nick's is NOT one of those places. The food was incredible top to bottom. The Prime Rib is possibly the best I've had (I've definately paid 3 times the price for lesser rib). We tried to stick to items they make in house. Brussell sprouts, crab cakes, escargot, etc etc, it was all 5 star! If you're traveling through Cookeville TN and have an interest in a GREAT meal, Nick's will not let you down! For great service ask for Ashley! Incredible attitude perfect staging and on point all around.
Great location to shopping! The service was exceptional and will be back. We had the New York Strip with Brussels Sprouts and French Onion Soup. Thank you for the wonderful service and we will pass along the word on this gem!!
We went to Nick’s to celebrate our anniversary. We both ordered the prime rib. The salad was old and wilted with only ONE grape tomato. Our entrees came out so quickly we did not have time to finish our salad and by the time we did, our dinner was cold. The waiter was good, but that was the only positive. We were very disappointed-paid way too much for what we received. Will NOT go back!
Very nice restaurant. The whole experience was great from the pleasant hostess seating us and coming back and checking on us. The waitress was great as well. When we first got there we beat the crowd and then the place really got busy but we were still taken care of. Great filet and salmon, my wife had the prime rib and it was great as well. Nick, Nicole, and Nicole's daughter are all doing a great job. We will be back from Charlestown IN.
Nice space, nice servers. Orders taken and meal delivered in a timely manner. But the food didn't live up to the prices.
